Nothing wrong with having faith, but it can depend on what or who you have faith in. Most normal people who have a faith in a religion are fine, and they respect other faiths and opinions, and dont force themselves on others. But faith can be dodgy in the wrong hands, and it is those people you need to watchout for. But if you want a religious faith to believe in, do you research on that or other faiths, find out where it comes from, if its a hotchpotch of others or long standing, and do yourself justice by researching the other opinions, to make an informed choice about faith, try Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris. After all if you are going to believe in something, you need to make an informed choice, but in itself having faith is fine and often very worthwhile.

There are two catagories of faith:
Blind faith
And reasoned faith.
Blind faith is ignorance. Because of free will, one has the choice to live in ignorance or to seek the answers and build their faith.
Faith without works is useless. Works without faith is selfish, for piousness for self gain is not true piousness.
There are many truths that cannot be proved by physical science or by arguing with logic that lacks the correct perception. Faith must be reasoned, and so knowledge provides the basis for reason. That is why people study scripture, for that is God's knowledge.
One can use science in the study of the material world, but not in the study of the spiritual world. What your senses cannot see can only be perceived by reason. Then one can have faith.

A lot.
Faith is a funny thing. Faith is when you believe in something without evidence or in spite of evidence to the contrary.
Faith is an epistemic term, it's a way of acquiring knowledge that rationality couldn't acquire. This presupposes that rationality is some how deficient when it comes to certain types of knowledge.
The problem is, then, how do you decide that reason wont work for a certain type of knowledge?
Generally when something isn't rational, we call it irrational, colloquially we use this term to mean "false."
So, then, it would seem that faith would be the way of claiming true what rationality has found to be false.
This doesn't seem wrong to you?

having True Faith, with Universal Truth is OK,
but having Blind faith, what religious believers have, is wrong...
Here's the simply Solution for religion:
Eliminate religion from Your Life, A.S.A.P.;
Freedom of religion is Freedom FROM religion; religion is Spiritual fraud;
Universal Truth eliminated religion from Spirituality a long time ago;
Accomplish this:
Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs and start Your journey back home, to Heaven.
<<<<<<< UnConditional Love is the only answer >>>>>>>
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

Faith is emotional. It is fun, it is happy.
Religious belief is emotional, and it makes you feel good.
Jesus may not be real, but believing in it is fun; also it can make you think you're better than others, and that's always nice to have.

Um, let's see, faith means acting as if you have knowledge when you don't, or believing with inadequate evidence, which leads people to do things they wouldn't do if they relied on real evidence, which leads to suicide bombers, etc.
DUH!
