Y'know, I think I've known that for years, but not REALLY paid attention to Genesis 2:1,2. This is actually fun right now because I have a 15 year old son who is being Homeschooled; (atheists would say he is being indoctrinated into fundieism, to which I would reply HALLELUYAH!), nevertheless, he consistently scores ABOVE 95% on NATIONALIZED Science tests. I may have a future scientist on my hands. He is excellent in science, math and physics; which DO NOT contradict the Bible.
Thank you for pointing this out, Diane.
PS Did you know Isaiah 40:22 states "It is he who sits above the circle of the earth...."
Therefore, the fact that the earth is ROUND is scriptural. Not bad for a bunch of "bronze age goat herders?"

Yes the 2nd law of thermodynamics applies to open systems, I don't see how this is relevant to evolution. Mutations are a form of entropy (chaos). They are caused by mistakes in copying not cells, but cell's information, if you copy a transcript enough times it will say something else. Rearranging letters can have detrimental effects (ie skin cancer) but it can also code advantageous stuff in. So the question is how probable is it that we can copy the collected works of Shakespeare over and over again, and get the collected works of Tom Clancy? Not very. How probable is it if we allow the time frame of our experiment continue to an infinite number of copies? Probable enough to happen at least once. What do mutations have to do with the 2nd law of thermodynamics? Nothing. What the 2nd law does have to say about a creator however, is that you cannot destroy entropy, (chaos). So the universe will continue to run downhill until all energy is only heat and everything is disorganized. Or there must be some higher power, like a parent who can clean a child's room and bring order to disorganization. The existence of God is consistent with the 2nd law of thermodynamics. The existence of evolution and the absense of God is also consistent with the 2nd law. I however would not like to belong to the latter universe, I don't look forward to the heat death of me or my species.

Entropy is a good argument for creation and not evolution! And the universe is expanding. This is something not known too long in science, but the Bible said it many years ago.
Ps 104:2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

Actually, matter springs from energy all the time. Look up pair-production.
No, that's not really useful. Because it still took us 1800 years to figure that out. So please find something the bible predicts BEFORE it happens if you want to convince us of anything. We're talking a cure for cancer, or names, dates, and locations. Otherwise, if you say 'hey! After the fact, this kinda looks like that if you close one eye and squint!', that's not helpful.

Yes, you are correct. Also, the Bible said that the earth was round and that it revolved around the sun, long before explorers, scientists, ect. came to understand that. The books of Job and Psalms have alot of info. like that throughout. :)

Gazoo, Eri & Crystalinnectar, Diana is a rabid fundie who makes it her business to block atheists. I always assume that people who do this are trigger happy with the report button. Answering her question marks you out for blocking. I would advise you to block her in return.
