I think some relationships can be strong enough to be mentained through many lifetimes but not forever and by relationships i don't necessarily mean a romantic one.. "Forever" is a very vague term as it has no limit so basically it can be possible for a relationship between two souls to be so powerful as to keep the love growing "forever" but marriage was made for life on this earth and it's not really a passport to the other person's soul. Strong bonds can keep you together in a way or another but reality is meant to be ever changing and evolving.

I believe that marriage is definetly forever.

Dont know what will happen when we go to heaven but i hope that if you get there you'll be able to spend eternity with your loved ones from this life.

People give up far to easy on their marriages and think it should be all love hearts and flowers. Anything worth having in life requires hard work and commitment and getting through the hard times just makes a marriage stronger.

Marriage is only for this life. In heaven you will not marry. At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. (Mathew 22:30)

That is why in the marriage ceremony we only swear "Till death do as part"

Just for this life.

In Matthew chapter 22 Jesus said:

23That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 24"Teacher," they said, "Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and have children for him. 25Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. 27Finally, the woman died. 28Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?"
29Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 31But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, 32'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'[a]? He is not the God of the dead but of the living."

33When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.

No..marriage in heaven . Marriage is for this lifetime only.

Jesus of all people should know:
Mat 22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
Mat 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

I believe that family is intended to last forever. When I think of eternity without my husband I get so sad. I love him so much and want to spend the rest of forever with him and our kids.

no it is not forever. in the afterlife we will be too consumed with being close to God and feeling his awesomeness, there will be no need for marriage. also, we will not be procreating in the afterlife.

Personally I believe it is forever. I'll always be married to my fiance. Even if one of us dies, I'll still consider myself married. I won't want to remarry. But that's just me. I'm sure everyone has their own opinions on marriage.
