Since I've decided to turn my life over to Christ. After some searching I feel that I have made the choice for me. However I don't know what sect or denomination I'm gonna choose if any at all. I mean I was baptized as a baby in the Catholic Church but was never active in it and I've never done Communion or Confirmation. So what's the next step? Does any of that matter? Do I have to be baptized again or is the baptism as a baby enough? Oh and I'm an adult now.

There is a difference between a person who seeks to learn about american Indian Culture or looking for their ancestry...Im talking about a person who wants to be involved in the culture whether they have blood ties or not...they mimic what they see in the movies and television and read white-washed books that explain things from a NON-INDIAN point of few...He/she thinks all his gained knowledge is all he/she needs to be indian when in fact they know little or nothing at all about being Indian.....In most cases they have never even been around REAL Indians...they also belong to twink tribes and own trinkets from gas stations..... to Sitting Bull shirts made in Korea...I doubt if anyone would actually admit to being one....lol ...I think many watched "Dances with Wolves" too many damn times.....another word I dislike is Shaman....alot of them will use that word also.....

Before my father died, I always went to see him on Thanksgiving and Christmas . Once he died, I didn't have anything else to do, so I went to the local soup kitchen on Thanksgiving and Christmas . Now I go with my friend to his sister's house . I never learned what single people do to have a decent Thanksgiving and Christmas . It looks like it might not work anymore going to his sister's house for Thanksgiving and Christmas . My question is -- what do single people do to have a decent Thanksgiving and Christmas ? My mother died before my father did, and I REFUSE to go back to to the local soup kitchen for the holidays, so you might as well not offer "Help out at the soup kitchen" .

Since most Muslims are law abiding, surely this will reduce the terrorist concentration?

And should we not also try to accommodate the Muslim community better by obliging all women to were the hijab, whatever their religion?

Muslims are offended when they see girls going out uncovered, going out on dates etc.

I know that I am getting into heavy theology here but as a LDS Elder I feel that it is wrong for us to exclude others due to their Sex, Race, Religion, Ethnic Background, Language, Language Skills, Education Level, Sexual Preference, National Origin, Political Affiliation, Political Opinion, Racial Mate Preference, City of Birth, Occupational Choice, Income Level, Ancestry, Food Choices, Health Habits, Residential Status, Governmental Loyalties, Club Affiliation, Grade Point Average, Skin Pigment, Hair Color, Eye Color, Height, Weight, Circumference, Muscle Tone, Voice Tone, Media Preferences, or Clothes Preference. I know that I left out tattoo preference but I think that's nasty or is it? Get my point?

Also, if you believe that God is calling us to push others aside or exclude others because they are different leave your opinion here as well. You don't have to be a compassionate Christian just to answer my question.

Here is the intro from their website

The ACLU fights just as hard for INDIVIDUAL free exercise of religion as the ACLU fights against GOVERNMENT endorsement, sponsorship, or establishment of religion. Despite this fact, many people spread misinformation about the ACLU around the internet, innocently and maliciously, falsely claiming the ACLU is anti-religion or anti-Christian.

This list of FACTS counteracts that misinformation. These links represent just a few of the many examples of the ACLU defending the free speech and free exercise rights of Christians (for purposes of this list, the word “Christian” means a person who self-identifies as “Christian”).

In every example, the ACLU is defending the right of a Christian to speak as a Christian or to practice Christianity."

This is followed by about 30 examples of the ACLU DEFENDING the right of CHRISTIANS to practice thier faith.

There are a lot of people who say that all it takes to be a Christian is to believe in Jesus, correct? Satan clearly believes in the central tenets of Christianity. He believes, for example, that Jesus, the Son of God, was sacrificed to redeem the sins of mankind--for if Satan does not believe this, why did he tempt Jesus in an effort to sabotage his divine mission? He also believes in the resurrection of Jesus, in the power of God to work miracles, and in the existence of a heaven and a hell. Satan obviously believes in Jesus, so is Satan a Christian?

I have heard this argument over and over that statistically speaking, evolution is very unlikely. I asked a question about evolution and some guy claimed he had even worked out the math himself and said it was basically impossible. Alright creationists, I want you to give me a specific mathematical equation that proves that evolution is statistically impossible. Don't just say it. I want specific math. That means numbers for those of you who are not familiar with mathematics.

The LORD said to Moses, 17 "Say to Aaron: 'For the generations to come none of your descendants who has a defect may come near to offer the food of his God. 18 No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed; 19 no man with a crippled foot or hand, 20 or who is hunchbacked or dwarfed, or who has any eye defect, or who has festering or running sores or damaged testicles. 21 No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any defect is to come near to present the offerings made to the LORD by fire. He has a defect; he must not come near to offer the food of his God. 22 He may eat the most holy food of his God, as well as the holy food; 23 yet because of his defect, he must not go near the curtain or approach the altar, and so desecrate my sanctuary. I am the LORD, who makes them holy.

What technically is the real food of Hid GOd or Holy food? Is it the Holy communion?

I heard when you were conquiested by the protestant british , they forced you to speak only in English and to drink tea at 5:00 pm. But then... in 1776, you became Revolutionary, and decided to stand out for yourselves and rid off of your British opressors! Cool!

No, I don't believe in Von Daniken's theories. Nonetheless, many traditions describe gods with very physical/manlike attributes. Even in the early parts of the Bible, God walks, talks, and eats in the Garden of Eden.

Is god(s) purly spirit, or is there a connection with the physical and spiritual?

I have a boyfriend (for about 7months) and we love each other very much but he thinks it's ok for us to have sex with other people. He thinks feelings and emotions are intimate while sex isn't so it's just something physical (while we still "keep" our emotions for each other). So, my question is can "casual" sex with others jeopardize our relationship or is it harmless? I personally prefer monogamy and I don't know should I be woried.

and not God. Jesus was GOD, he came to earth in human form.
Why don't they believe that, and do they have the right to call themselves Christians.?
Should they call themselves something else,
and if so what should they be called.
When someone tells me they are a christian,
I believe them, I don't think for a minute I am talking to a JW, are they giving false impressions definitely YES. (Should they stop
YES)

Alright, a few years ago I was Christian, I had taken Jesus into my heart, etc. Now, I'm not Christian any more, but my sister said once you believe in God, your name is forever written in the book of God and you'll still go to heaven. Is this true?
