No, I don't believe in Von Daniken's theories. Nonetheless, many traditions describe gods with very physical/manlike attributes. Even in the early parts of the Bible, God walks, talks, and eats in the Garden of Eden.

Is god(s) purly spirit, or is there a connection with the physical and spiritual?

Both. God is a spiritual being but he also "transforms" into the natural. Like the "Devil" changes in Revelations.

Some gods, (notice small g) have made themselves human to trick, play with, have sex with, or whatever with real ppl. I think it is those gods who ruled in the old testament.
Of course God can look human, he can do anything...He's God, (big G), Physical is just an illusion we believe in so strongly it is how we perceive the world.

Blessed Be

Humans translate 'God' into the terms they can relate to, so their 'God' does what they do...in truth, 'God' is purely spiritual.
