Alright, a few years ago I was Christian, I had taken Jesus into my heart, etc. Now, I'm not Christian any more, but my sister said once you believe in God, your name is forever written in the book of God and you'll still go to heaven. Is this true?

Only GOD knows the answer to that. Why? because it is His will that will put you in heaven. You can't bank eternity in Heaven on a few years ago. The past counts but not as much as the future.

It's like a savings account (hypothetical Scenario):
you have up two to years to save your house from forclouser by a lender. The agreement is that you have up to two years to pay for the rest of the lease, sounds good right? But the other half of the agreement is that the Lender can still ask for all the money up front during those two years. You following me? You need 50,000 dollars to complete your lease. you already have 10,000 in your savings account.
One day you take 3,000 dollars out, yah know, for a vacation with some friends. But as soon as you get back you work your butt off to make that up.
six months have passed and you have managed to make 6,000 dollars. ( don't pay too much attention to the numbers). another six months pass and you make 8,000. Your total know is 21,000 after one year.
For some reason you stop putting money in for 6 months. (remember this is hypothetically). Then you take out just 1,000. only 1,000 dollars.
Your Total know is 20,000. you make more money over your last 6 months but you don't get all of it. you make a total of 37,000 dollars at the end of your two years. The Lender is a nice guy so he gives you 6 more months.
During those months you put mone yan put take some out, back and forth. at the end of your 6 months you have 43,000. Now the Lender doesn't want to take the house back so he gives you 7 months.
You working hard the first 3 months putting in and only taking out once. (Keep reading your almost there). then out of nowhere the Lender calls you and says your time is up. Hey but you were on a roll and was going to pay it off before the 7 months! Lender says i Have given you sufficent time, and your time is up.

Your savings account was at 47,000 Bottom. The times you took money were the times you have send in real life. The times were you did't put money in were the times when you stopped believing. the times when you put in money, which was a lot, that was you believing and keeping your faith. NOw although you put in more than you may have taken out, that taken out still kept you from reaching your ultimate goal.

The Bottom line is there are only so many chances to get as close to GOD as you can, in one life time. Don't bank on all the past, when you could be putting a lot more into the future, to get that ultimate payoff. Eternity in Heaven.

Sorry for any Errors

No, dear heart, it is an interesting story, even an inventive one, but true it is not. There is no god in the sky with a book big enough for the names of millions, perhaps billions of human critters. And if there were, who would do the 'writing' and in which language? Perhaps, as many Fundies believe, Elizabethan English like the KJV. I shouldn't be concerned, beautiful person. In your life, you've probably met other fantasies, from Santa Claus to the Tooth Fairy, and beliefs in 'heaven' and all that is yet another one.

thats a tough one kitty. i used to be a goth back in the 90's and i really didnt beleive in anything for a long time. even fought a lot with the idea of god because i believed it to be cruel to promise such and not give it, or i couldnt believe because of what i saw in my every day life. you know what im talking about.

when i got a little older and started looking into things more and seeing different parts of the world i couldnt help but wonder. faith, or religion, is more of a inward thing for me. i dont believe you need to go to a church or anything to be faithful. so where you would go when you die is kinda up to what you believe i think. i dont think that god would let good people, who just dont know much about him, go to hell. know what i mean?

im not one of those really out there christians who takes everything in the bible literally, so i get odd looks in most churches when i ask questions about evolution, or the big bang theroy. to them that makes me a bad christian. but i am what i am.

id say ya, you still get to go to heaven if your good. i wouldnt go killing anyone to test it though. and yes, im still kinda goth. i listen to the same bands as i did before, and still love my black. its a awesome habit and i wont let it go. the church people i do talk to have gotten used to it. even complementing me on my latest band shirt.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Of course this is not true,It doesn't make any sense that one believe in God then changes his mind to say God doesn't exist and be still going to heaven. One should believe in God and die with this believe.
To go to heavens there are rules:
1- To believe in God.
2- The God you believe in should be the right God.Some people believe that Jesus is God,others believe in Cows, others in fire or Sun,others made a Statue of stones and believe that it is their God.One should search for the right God who create people and who is able to send them to heaven or hell.
3- One should obey God commands and be away from what he forbid.
4- Should keep this until you die.
May God guide us to the truth and admit us to heaven.

Revelation 3:5 "He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot his name out of the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and His angels." It's fair to say that those who don't overcome will have their name blotted out of the book of life. If you turn back around, God will take you back and you'll go to heaven if the Bible is true. Don't wait though because the Bible does talk about a time when you can no longer turn around (Hebrews 12:16, etc.).

Waiting until your demise to find out if your going to heaven is pushing it a little too close. Satan always tries to put doubt in us concerning our salvation., Remember Satan is about destruction, the Savior is about development John 10:10. A verse in the bible states" a double minded person is unstable in all his ways" (James) Fast and pray, the Lord will reveal himself to you, maybe perhaps through the unexpected. Take time to talk a Pastor who teaches from the Bible and yes not only is God real but the Devil is real also!

Word says Man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart. My God is a gentleman and He will not force himself upon you. Now once you are saved word says you cannot be snatched out of God's hands, however I think that maybe you can walk away from God. Since we are saved by our FAITH in God and our FAITH in Jesus Christ being his only son, born of the virgin Mary, then died and rose again in 3 days, then we should walk in that. However, the bible does says that FAITH without works is dead, so if FAITH saved us and we have no works then that FAITH is dead so how can it save us. If you were a Christian you works would say so, word says a man is know by his fruits. No fruits, no faith, no salvation. Still, only God knows for sure.

Nope, Freewill, backsliding is a problem, you must make it to the end, end of your time on Earth....... believing once then denying makes it much more diffucult to get back with JESUS, Emmanual that being GOD is with us, you must keep HIM with you to the END not for one minute or two minutes but forever else what is the point?
HE is Risen

Not really... See you "backslid" and you need deliverance once again. If your too embarrassed(like me) to go up and get prayer in the church there are people who can "save" or deliver you through phone.

Heres a number you can call. 904-358-5001 or if you don't have long distance go to this website...
http://www.kimberlydaniels.com/
And Email mail etc for deliverance and prayer.

Also remember this is your choice and if you do truly want to be "saved" please stick to it because each time you sin and get deliverance and sin again you let 7 more demons enter. So if this is what you want to do Great for you and if you don't still God Bless and come in your own timing.

There is no "once saved always saved" in the bible. You have turned your back on God. One must also believe and follow the commandments. But God is our only judge and only He can judge what is in a persons heart and soul
