i have joint custody with my ex and live a few miles from her and my son.because of this i have almost daily contact with my ex(text msg/email/phone) regarding my son.The problem is my ex hates my new wife(jealous) and goes out of her way to torment her and makes her feel unwelcome around our son. This pisses off my wife and she will "feed the fire" so to say meaning she will do things that she knows will piss my ex off and i'm cought in the middle. Some will say i need to stand up for my new wife but i need to think of my young son too.Yes my exwife is to blame for this(mostly) but i'm taking the high road for my son by staying out of it.Is this the best way to handle this?

Islam Prayer In Bible
In the Prayer, Muslims bow down before God, and make obeisance to Him, by touching the ground before them with their foreheads.
"O You who believe! bow down and prostrate yourselves and serve your lord, and do good that you may prosper." - (Holy Quran 22:77)
"And he (Jesus) went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed..." - (Matt 26:39).
"And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship..." (Joshua 5:14)
"And they (Moses and Aaron) fell upon their faces..." (Num 20:6)
"And Abraham fell on his face..." - (Genesis 17:3)

Although we all speak the same language I know that there are various differences between European English and American English. What do people from Europe usually think of American English (accent, slang, speling, etc.)? Also, do you ever have any difficulty understanding us due to accent or grammar differences? Curious to hear what you say.

In R&S some of the answerers are so head strong, some fabricate and falsify evidences to justify their point of view at any cost, some hurl insults, insanities and abuses left, right and center and some other - what not. I suspect that full form of R&S is 'RELIGION AND STUPIDITY'. Well, by the time you guys respond to this, let me make a helmet for my avatar, I do not know how many brick-bats are on my way.

Would be great, if you could provide some example out of Bible.

Christians say that they beleive in what the Bible says.

Sacred texts have been written by enlightened prophets in other religions with written texts, and some sacred pieces of writing and many oral traditions have been passed down in others.
What makes them wrong and the Bible right?

Many people believe that Jesus, when he was crucified, payed for the first sin, comited by Adam & Eve !
In fact, the only sin that he asked for forgiveness, was the sin of condeming him to death !
The first sin,by Adam & Eve,marked the beginning of the life of humans !
The snake said : You would become like gods, knowing good from evil.
What he is acctualy saying is that men were given free will.
The ability to choose from good or evil.
Now,christians, would you loose your free will, and be like cattle awaiting slaughter, for that is its main purpose ?
Would you still accept that Jesus takes this divine power from you ?
Or would you accept it as a gift, and really open your mind to the truth of what is good and what is evil ?

Today if someone said a burning bush had spoken to them or that they had parted an ocean, or talked to entity they could not see that person would likely be institutionialized. How can men seen for thousands of years as prophets or messiahs with tales such as these survive in a world where if such occurances happened today, people would suspect insanity?

When I speak about the Bible and actually quote the Bible (God's word), non-believers will tell me that I am being judgmental and that's not CHrist-like because only God's is to judge us. But I don't think I'm judging anyone (ever), I'm just quoting the Bible, saying how God has told us to live our lives in order to gain eternal life with Him and I express my personal opinions. But I can't judge people.

I think many people, whether believers or not, are confusing what "being judgmental" means in regards to what God means by that term verses what mankind has put on that term. Mankind has lawyers and judges in the court system. We have laws. We don't tell our judges not to judge us, that only God can do that. Earthly judging is completely different from Heavenly judging, right? Please help me express this! Thanks for your input!

when i was young (in the 1980's) i was watching tv with my mom and on the news they were talking about a bombing at a abortion clinic. I was too young to understand in any capacity, why someone would do that, and when i asked my mom why, she subtly infered that "sometimes people have to do certain things to make god's will done."
My mom was no means a wacko super hypocrite off the wall variety christian.
I think that the true reason why she would say such a thing back then and would never admit to saying that now is because of the liberalizing effect culture (and the media) have had on the minds of lay christians who never realized how such notions are no different than how jihad-variety muslims think.
lay christians don't think like that no more for one main reason: secularists have coerced them not to.
agree?

I copied from Bishop Robert M. Solomon's "Faith & Fiction"

On page 38

Theologian Athanasius ( 296 - 373 CE )'s major work "On the Incarnation", a classic and powerful defence of the divinity of Christ

. Only God can save. No creature can save another.
. Jesus is God. Therefore only He can save. If He was less than God, He would not be able to save humankind.
. Because Jesus saves, He must be God.

In my family, the RH problem reared its ugly head.

Because of this, my mother had two still births and lost a pair of twins.

Two of my brothers and myself are only alive because we had transfusions at birth.

While I know there are now other ways to deal with RH, which saved my son from needing a transfusion, those options weren't available in the 60s.

I've had JWs in the past try to tell me that they would never allow there own child to have a transfusion and that my mother should have let my brothers and I die.

How can they possibly justify this stand and expect someone who is alive only because of a transfusion to agree with them?
