The Law says that you have to wear your seat belt or face the consequences. The Consequences are design that you fear them. Many people will not follow laws unless there is something to fear. Many still ignore the law even when there is.
God sets up laws with consequences. If you don't respect them then you will suffer the consequences. If you are taught to fear a Father who is beyond human desire to punish, then you can choose not to fear by reason that God Loves us unconditionally, but the laws are set in place so everything will be in order and balanced. When you violate them, you create unbalance and you hurt yourself, God does not do it to you. Some ministers over the past 5000 years or more have taught to fear God so you would want to worship God. Stories in the old testament teach us that God is a Jealous God and a vengeful God. An eye for an eye it says. But what did Jesus say. God is no respecter of persons and the sun and the rain fall the same on the good or the bad. He gave examples that God is a Loving God and taught to Love and be perfect in that Love as The Father God is. God is a God of Love and has no need to be feared. He is always there with his arms out wide to receive us back no matter what we do when we realize we have errored.
We also know that from scripture, that Jesus taught about Satan. So if there is Satan then there may be a place one may call hell that souls go when they violate the universal laws and error in there ways. To not be in a heavenly realm without God would be hell enough without the Love, would be hell, to be in eternal darkness alone would be hell. The planes of hell may exist with fire and brimstone but by following the laws of God and seeking righteousness, we are more likely to end up in a place that we like than the ones we don't. There was no need to teach fire and brimstone. The Law is the Law and Jesus said he did not come to change the Law, but to fulfill it. The Law says to Love God and to Love each other as you would yourself. If you do that, there is no need to even think of a place like hell because we are promised a better place.

I would like to know more about what you are speaking of.. I do not see God like this.. well of course unless you really really make him mad.. I wont tell you how you can do this.. but I see God as a Loving God.. As his people grew so did his ideas and heart..He so loved the world that he gave his only son in hopes for all to make way back to Him....

The God I worship is the God of Love and Forgiveness. He does not threaten or intimidate; He loves unconditionally and eternally. I do not know where you obtained your misinformation about God.
