I would appreciate if your answer is without FAITH.

Would be great, if you could provide some example out of Bible.

Once Jesus pulled me from a burning building.

He was dressed in a firefighter outfit and was about 5'5 and mexican, which i thought was weird, but whatever. His nametag cleary said Jesus Sanchez.

Accept that you are a sinner - we all are - no one's perfect.

Understand that God's central characteristic is holiness. Holiness is black and white. God can't accept us the way we are because it would compromise his holiness. Any sin, would compromise his holiness, even a lie.

Shedding blood has always been required by God to atone for sins, but the sacrifices had to be perfect, without blemish. Before Christ came, this was done with animal sacrifices. When Christ came, he was sinless and he was God in human form, therefore he was an acceptable sacrifice in our place when he shed his blood on the cross.

If you truly believe the above you can claim salvation by the mere act of asking for it. You must rely on Christ's sacrifice ALONE to be the blood sacrifice required to atone for your sins. This is salvation. You can never be good enough or pure enough or do enough stuff or attend enough church to be holy enough for God. This is why we need a savior.

The Bible says once you do these things you are saved. It also says that when you put your trust in Christ, that the Holy Spirit enters you and "bears witness" with your spirit to assure you of your salvation. I know this to be true from my own personal experience.

There is no real way to talk about salvation without talking about faith. I talked about it alot above without using the word. The Bible also says that faith comes from hearing the word of God. So if you are truly seeking, read the book of Romans then read the book of Galations after you understand Romans.

I used to be a drunken fornicator before I answered the call of Christ on my life. That was over 5 years ago and I have not had a drink of alcohol or sex with a woman since (I'm not married). That's evidence of the power and sanctifying work of God's Holy Spirit in my life. Here are some passages to demonstrate what I mean.

1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such WERE some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

So what about all of my sins before I got saved or even the occasional ones nowadays?

About Jesus the author of the book of Hebrews writes:

Hebrews 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Here's what Jesus said to Nicodemus before He laid down his life for the sins of all who would believe on Him.

John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

We know we are saved by Jesus when we feel the Holy Spirit
in our hearts.

1 John 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

So this begs the question how do I know if the Spirit is in me? When you first accepted Jesus did you feel a burden lift off your sholders? Yes ? That is the Spirit of God in you.
Do you want to help people who are down ? That is the Holy Spirit. Do you feel guilty when you sin and ask for forgiveness? Yes? Great! That is the Holy Spirit of God in you. Are you seeking God with all your heart? Are you anxious to tell other people about Christ? Are you unashamed to be a Christian? have you given up your pet sin? Dear beloved if you answered yes to most of these I would bet that you are saved. It is a heart matter. Dont let Satan tell you that you are not saved. Satan tries to tell Christians all the time that they dont measure up. And he is right we dont. But Jesus did and does measure up. He paid the price for your sin. He promised us that if we believe in him, and call upon his name and confess our sin that we would be saved. God promised and he cant lie.


Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Jesus has saved everyone from their sins, it is faith that saves one from condemnation and this can be lost at anytime.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit

It can't be done my friend. The only reason any Christian knows they are saved is because they believe that God will keep His word concerning salvation by grace through faith.

Q: I have a friend who's always been active in her church but she says no one can really know whether or not they'll get to heaven until they actually die. I don't think I agree with her, but I'm not sure why. Is she right? — P.F.


A: Dear P.F.,
One of the Bible's most comforting truths is that we can know beyond a shadow of doubt that we will go to heaven when we die. The Bible's promise is meant for every believer: "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure" (Hebrews 6:19).

Unfortunately, however, many people are like your friend. They may have professed their faith in Christ; they have been active in their church; they may truly believe the facts of the Gospel. But they have failed to understand one crucial truth, and it is this: Our salvation does not depend on how good we are, but solely on Christ and what He has done for us.

In God's eyes, we are all guilty, because we all have sinned and broken His laws. But we can't erase our own guilt—nor can we win God's favor by balancing out our bad deeds with our good deeds. The reason is because God is absolutely pure and holy, and even one sin is enough to keep us out of heaven.

But that is why Christ came into the world. He came for one reason: to take away our sins by His death on the cross. We deserve to die for our sins, but He died in our place. He paid the price for our sins—not part of them, but all of them! This is why the Bible says, "He who has the Son has life" (1 John 5:12). Trust Christ alone for your salvation—and urge your friend to do so, as well.
