I am Hispanic and I feel that everyone has the right to be treated with dignity. Some of my favorite historical figures are Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Oskar Schindler, and so on. I think its not fair that we all get painted with the same brush. Being Hispanic myself, there are many Hispanics that I can't stand, yet there are many that I care about. It all boils down to good versus evil and you will find that in every culture.

why cant I be a Muslim, Christian and Buddhist all at the same time, and embrace the parts of these religions that work for me, and reject the parts that dont? I dont get this obsession people have with following just ONE religion.

someone asked the question earlier whether christians followed god or thier pastor.... as a confirmed pagan this interested me.... everyone said God and the bible but being as the bible was written by man and man is fallable and everyone always interprets things differently from each other... how can you use the bible as a reference point?

Before the hate starts... this isn't meant in a degroatory way, i'm just curious how the inconsistency is resolved?

I have spent the last little while reading answers and was quite struck by the amount of people that like to get on and just put people down, calling them stupid and other worse names. Maybe some people aren't the smartest or the most interesting but does that mean they need to be attacked. Can't people just move on to something else.

why do we as Christians are kept on getting persecute by people and it is getting not any better?i try to follow the Christians way for not gossiping or persecute people but why are we still being a victims to them?why doesnt the holy spirit save us from all this troubles?being persecute isnt easy even then we shall not take revenge as the bible says love your enemies but sometimes it is unbearable because we are human...so no wonder some people take revenge because they are being provoke for no reason by some inconsiderately and means people

I became a Christian a long time ago. Problem is, I've never really been sure I have been "saved" (as in from hell).
My mother is nitpicky. Even if we are having a nice, pleasant conversation and I happen to have a cup of coffee or soda and accidently slosh some on the floor, she immediately starts jerking around and griping even though I promptly clean it up.Pleasant conversation ended!This humiliates me and quite frankly infuriates me. I can't change my family. But I NEED to change the way I react. I have an explosive temper, especially when it comes to things like the above mentioned. If I feel the slightest bit backed up against a wall or attacked by a family member for no reason I do one of two things.....mull up and quit speaking for at least 2 days, or explode and an ongoing yell match ensues. Also I have a problem with thought control. And I have a lust for certain TV shows I know I shouldn't watch. Can anyone give me advice? Is it just me or all christians who deal with it?

Inside that circle are a billion planets. Amongst those planets could easily be thousands, if not millions, of intelligent lifeforms.

Now move your hand two inches up. Millions of more life forms. Do this again and again, all night long until you've covered the entire sky. Now, go round to the other side of the world and do it again. How many trillions of life forms did you count?

Humans have the arrogance to believe that in this unimaginably large universe, we were somehow created extra special on this planet by some almighty being, and that we must wait and wait for this being to reveal why we are the one species amongst trillions worthy of it's attention.

Not only that, but we must spend our paltry insignificant lives on this tiny spec of a world in a constant state of worship in order to receive some sort of "reward" we are too "sinful" to otherwise receive.

One must wonder if the quadrillions of other life forms in the universe must go through this nonsense?

It's laughable.

The translation means God. So how can this be God's name? Its like saying Dios os God's name but when translated,it means God in Spanish. Is it not just another title?
