If you had a Pearl of great price how many people will try to take away from you. Christians put themselves in a pocket of being God's Chosen people. There other try them to see if their Faith is complete and they fall under the press leave the true meaning the Bible gives. There are alot of Christians today who call themselves that and which are not. Turn the other cheek Girl!
If words can bring you down then something is wrong with your faith. Yes we are human. But the bible tell us to come out and be separate and do as Jesus did. Your question why does not the holy spirit save you from this? Well he is there but he cannot do unless you ask him. But a lot of Christians all over the world will tell you that because they serve a higher being , they are called to high standards. The holy ghost is here direct you to save from evil and the appearance of evil. But for him do any thing your faith must be great. The persecution was done to Jesus do you think you are better then him.Plus persecution try your faith-did not the Bible say that your faith would be try be fire so that you can stand what comes next. If you think this persecution then wait until you walk in the foot prints of a christian woman in china who was really persecution and torture for her beliefs as a christian. As for mean people out just for means sake-pray for them who hurt you and says all kinds of things about you because great is your reward in heaven. Mathew.

Remember too.To fully know that someone is a Christian is very hard. The thing that alot of people forget is.Just because a person says they are Christian. It does not make them infoulable to human behaviors. We are all warned of these types of things. But even tho we are so many people still do it. You can love your enemies sure. But that does not mean that they have to existence in your life,or because they are Christians you need to keep them as a friend. My friend says Mean people are just mean! People hurt eathother so badly with the tongue and or the written word.

Jesus was very aware of human nature that is why Jesus gave us some look into how to handle mean people.. The bible teaches us what we can do to make sure we do not become the very thing we do not like..Remember you have at your side the bible to guide you and your walk.
I Believe the Bible is
B.I.B.L.E.
"Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth"
so use it well.

I saw your question and had to answer it. I Hope this helps.I am so sleepy I can hardly keep my eyes open.
God speed ~hugs~ .

Dear ironie83,

I'm not 100% for sure what you are asking because there are a lot of thoughts in your question. So i am going to try to focus on the main thing you seem to be asking.

The role of the Holy Spirit is to direct us into being more like Jesus. The Spirit directs us into what's right and wrong and often will bring to remembrance God's word.

God's word teaches us that first in this world we will suffer persecution. When Jesus carried the cross - people casted insults at him, and Jesus was able to be obedient to God's word and not repay evil with evil.

So the Holy Spirit's job is not to keep us from troubles. But to help us deal with troubles in a way that is Christ-like and pleasing to God.

Yes- we've all been in situations where we've failed to obey God perfectly and it's unbearable. But we have to learn how to rely on God. To speak to Him about situations like that, and also to admit when we have a hard time forgiving and He'll help us!

i think the point is that being Christ-like is not a natural thing. it's a supernatural thing- and that's why God put His Holy Spirit within us.

i think prayer, reading God's word, will really help. God will allow trouble in our lives so that we can also be a source of comfort to others when they go through trouble. And just being in a world where there are conflicting values- means there will be times of difficulty. But God can give you the strength to endure and to deal with things in a Godly manner.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

Why should we be saved when we are not learning. yea you say you try not to gossip but you didn't say you didn't gossip

Why do people always want the easy road.

Life is not easy. Life is lessons and if you dont learn from them time will just keep on repeating itself just with different dates and people.

You shouldn't look at the big picture called Life but the step by step accomplishment you learn along the way. That's the progress God is looking for.

Nobody can make you do something that you dont want to do only your weakness. If you know God is always watching why stoop to an ignorant person lesson.

Learn from your mistake and teach the next from making your mistakes.

That's what life is about.

It's so easy to say "I'm Christian" whether a person has read the Bible or not.
It's so easy to say "I'm Christian" after reading the Bible and still not understanding Christs message.
It's too easy, and all too confusing for people who simply love others as Christ would have, to be persecuted by people who profess to know Christ, yet do not.
Just do the best you can with what you have.
"Christians" will persecute Christians.
"Muslims" will persecute Muslims
"Catholics" will persecute Catholics.
"insert any religion" will persecute anyone of that or another religion.
bottom line is ...
People want to appear better than their neighbor and to do that will "judge" them to be of less value.than themselves for whatever reason is convenient .. real or imagined.

"Judge not, lest ye be judged".

ROMANS 12

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
