No one ever understands anything. You can't get the whole story from a movie. For anything to make sense you have to make sense of it and not nonsense. Jesus would want us to know the laws of the universe. Would he not want us to know science? On the other hand it's a joint effort theory that takes a lot of discretion and maturity. It's like asking all the Christian churches to tell you about Christianity. You'd be very confused, you have to shop ideas around. Not thinking is out in any universe. The rule is, "Try all things, hold fast to what is fine." You have to sort through stuff or else Christian schools would never teach science or anything. The details are varied and personal, but the basic ideas is the street saying, "What goes around, comes around." or "Judge not that you be not judged for whatever measure you measure it will measured to you again and you WILL be found wanting." You get what you give. How plain can it be. "As a man thinks, so shall he be."
Why are we told to think on whatsoever good there is? Thinking negative all the time brings depression. Loving is a gift to yourself, it feels good. Duh. Of course any saying has it's opposite. "There's a time for everything under the sun." It's time for some hope. "Lift your head up, your redemption is near." "Preach the good news of the kingodm in all the earth and then the end will come." You don't emphasize the bad news, we have NBC and CBS for that. We've been filling in between the lines of the sciptures for thousands of years and probably forever. God in not small. Minds are. Babes can't play in the street, adults can. they just don't want you over there until your finished over here, but then after knowing "the truth.. the truth will set you free." Some parents don't set their children free. Governments don't. Leaders don't. You don't let anyone get between you and God, truth, love. Of course you can misuse anything. With money the LOA is, if you think your unworthy of money you will sabotage you own efforts subconsciously. If you don't think you can get it you won't, like try, give up easily and not be looking for the answer to your prayer after you pray. That's praying without faith. God has laws behind these scriptures like the physical laws. You have to make your mind over if you want different result.
What would Jesus think? "God is too pure to behold evil." We are to copy Him. He would only see the positives. The lies would die as you "Test the inpired expression to see if they're from God." You have to do that with science, government, psychology and anything. "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." Fear of ideas? What is that?

Personally I see it like this.. God made this world and all the laws that we live by in it.. for example.. The law of gravity.. that one is hard to deny.. drop something you will see...

And being that God made this world I belive he is also responsible for the law of attraction which to me is pretty obvious as well. Take a look at sucessful people.. they likely will tell you a story of time when they didn't yet have the sucess they wanted but they worked on a plan to obtain it and part of that plan was to "imagine" or "visulize" the plan in action and having the sucess they want..

When you meet someone that is sick or poor and all they do is complain and focus on being sick and poor...guess what they stay that way. On the other hand when people that are sick or poor foucus on recovery & a success and they work towards those goals they succeed.

The law of attaction is not seperate from God.. it is a part of God's creation. It is the ability we have as humans to define our lives not by what is happening to us but how we choose to react & how we choose to percieve those things.

It is very obvious that we do attract into our lives the things we foucus on the most.. one reason is that we are traninig our brains to think about certain things like for example.. making more money.. our brains act like computers searching our enviroment and our situations for ways to complete the task.. making more money.. then we start to have ideas that we can put into place.. we start to "think" of ways to obtain the thing we set our minds to..

We are all made up of energy.. the God given energy of life and of course the way we foucus that energy has an impact on our lives.

Why Jesus, even a small and insignificant creature like me has a problem with this Idea.People generating such ideas are, what can be named as 'FIXERS'. They generate something for which there is a hidden demand and create media Hype and in no time create demand ,sell and exit.A common or a layman like me doesn't understand that a vast and varied Human life can not be encapsulated in such limiting concepts or laws. This so called 'law of attraction' is nothing but a part-magnification,flavoring and and gift-wrapping of the good old concept of positive attitudinal behavior and it's benefits in our lives.Such fads COME and GO.

"Seek, and ye shall find. Ask, and it shall be given. Knock, and the door shall be opened."

Sounds like a "Law of Attraction" to me.

The law of attraction is a New (Dark) Age belief that one's mental disposition attracts similar external circumstances and events. In other words, your mental intentions and attitudes draw people and things of like intention and attitude to yourself. On one level this is trivially true. We generally hang out with people who think like us and share our values and we avoid people who disagree with us on important matters and don't share our values. But a moment's reflection should reveal that this "law" is false; it's not even truthy.

Sellers don't attract sellers; they attract buyers, unless they're running an MLM scheme. Lazy dreamers don't attract lazy dreamers. They attract con artists with big smiles and lots of promises. Grieving vulnerable people don't attract vulnerable people; they attract vultures and vampires who take advantage of their grief. If you say that grief and greed are both negative so this example supports the law of attraction, then this law is impossible to test. It's too slippery to have any meaningful content if obvious contradictions to it are said to support it. When kindness begets not more kindness but resentment, a New (Dark) Age defender of this "law" can always claim that the kindness wasn't genuine.

One of the main purveyors of this belief is Gary "Dancing Wu Li Masters" Zukav. According to Zukav:

Each personality draws to itself personalities with consciousness of like frequency or like weakness. The frequency of anger attracts the frequency of anger, the frequency of greed attracts greed, and so on. This is the law of attraction. Negativity attracts negativity, just as love attracts love. Therefore, the world of an angry person is filled with angry people, the world of a greedy person is filled with greedy people, and a loving person lives in a world of loving people.*

The so-called law of attraction is the kind of law that many people will find attractive. It provides them with the illusion of having control over their lives. All I need to do is change my attitude and intentions and I'll attract money like a magnet (or lose weight or whatever else it is I want to achieve). If it doesn't work, it's my fault because I didn't genuinely change my attitude and intentions. Sound familiar? What is it that the faith healers say about those who don't get healed? You didn't have enough faith!

If you want to succeed at something, draw up a plan of action. List what you want to achieve. List what you must do to achieve your goals in the order you must do them. Specify how you are going to measure success at each step along the way. Anything on the list that requires you to passively wait for somebody else to act must be eliminated from your list before you continue. If you can't achieve your goals without the help of others, pick the best people possible to help you and listen to them when they offer advice. Go down the list and check off each item as it is completed. If an item can't be completed, don't blame others. Come up with an alternative plan. Then move on to the next item. When you've accomplished all your goals, make up another list of goals and start over. Reaching one's goal is usually not as satisfying as striving to achieve it. Anyway, some goals aren't worth achieving. You'll do well to re-examine your goals regularly and weed out the worthless ones.

And remember: Anyone who tells you they have the secret to unlimited joy, health, money, relationships, love, youth, and everything else you have ever wanted, is lying to you. So, do not be fooled by any of the following Internet ads: Get Rich #1, Get Rich #2, Get Rich #3, Get Rich #4, and Get Rich #5. What do they have in common? None of them tell you what you have to do to get rich quick. They do tell you that they are not MLM schemes. #3 (Eric with Kimberly) and #4 (Jan and Shane) have in common that they have testimonials from the same people. Another thing they have in common is that they, and others like them, all pay Google to list them when you search for "law of attraction." Ask yourself: Who is attracted to people who run such ads or who promote such come-ons as "The Secret"? They attract people who aren't like them but want to be like what they think these folks represent. And that is a pity.
