I am Hispanic and I feel that everyone has the right to be treated with dignity. Some of my favorite historical figures are Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Oskar Schindler, and so on. I think its not fair that we all get painted with the same brush. Being Hispanic myself, there are many Hispanics that I can't stand, yet there are many that I care about. It all boils down to good versus evil and you will find that in every culture.

I never heard anyone label hispanics as racist. But yeah, I agree that there are good and bad in every culture...I think the problem that some folks have with hispanics is that ratio of illegal ones... but we do need to understand that not all hispanics are illegal :)

Most hispanics are nice people I know and have met many that take great pride in being American and speaking english.It's only the few that are upset we don't support amnesty that are the trouble makers if you go to you tube there are plenty of videos on you tube showing illegals acting in very disrespectfull ways and making rascist comments.Hopefully the illegal problem will be solved soon in a way that doesn't provide amnesty but still allows for honest mexicans to be allowed to work in the usa in small enough numbers that they no longer provide a threat to the wages of harder working americans including the hispanic ones born here or are allready here legally.

It is not that all Hispanics are racists. It is that illegal aliens are in the United States illegally.
Nobody who is in the United States should be here without proper documentation.
I wish I could go to another country like Australia,
New Zealand, or the UK with the same rights as Hispanics.

Well being a white South African, we get labelled as being racist in Europe and the USA, even though most South Africans have gotten past the whole racism thing along time ago. We are all created equal. End of story.

There are times when I wonder why the color of my skin stands out in the way I'm treated. I work hard and agree with your interests in the people you admired, even for them it seems a cultural thing and all anyone can be is who they are and be the best they can in their life. Try to make a difference in the world we all share. Why can't we all just learn to get along?

Yes, it's dangerous. It's also rather a unique perspective on this issue. Normally we hear about the racist people who look down on Hispanics. I was not aware that Hispanics are themselves accused of being racist.
Or are we dealing with irony and a bit of sarcasm here?

Yes -- I think it is entirely ignorant to label all Hispanics as racist.
There are racist Hispanic people and non/anti-racist ones also -- just like in an other racial/ethnic/cultural group
