The moral lesson is that the Trojans were prepared ahead of time and read their lessons. They did not blow them off until the last minute and try to scam others into doing their homework for them.
GO TO BED.

No Moral. The Greeks tricked the Trojans and wiped out their civilization for the spoils they could gain. The Trojan survivors moved to Italy (ROME) and eventually usurped the power of the Greeks. The Greeks produced Saul of Tarsus who eventually brought down the roman empire and ushered in the dark ages.
AND SO IT GOES.

It is usually stated as "Beware of Greeks bearing gifts." The more general concept would be to be cautious about accepting gifts from strangers, especially enemies or former enemies. You understand, I think, that it is comparatively easy to conceal poison in food or drink, and otherwise to disguise something which is bad for you within something which is creating the appearance of being good for you.

In my opinion, the lessons are - "don't let your guard down", and "things are not always as they appear."

Keep in mind that this is just my own opinion - I'm not guaranteeing you'll get an "A" ;-)
