I am from south India and this I hapen to see in one temple where marriage of God was beeing performed.

It is not only while performing marriage of the Gods. In each and every step of Pujas some sort of Mudras (mystic gestures - who believes in the existence of realities beyond human comprehension) are made. These Mudras are made while making Puja offerings which include pushpa (flowers), arghya (water), tambula (betel leaf) and chandana. (sandalpaste).
The South Indian temple Priests and Prohits have these mystic knowledge as per the Agama theories and perform puja's accordingly. -

In yoga we call these 'mudras' (translated from the sanskrit word meaning 'gesture' or 'attitude.') They are intended for energy flow, to link individual prana (energy or life force) with the universal or cosmic force. These mudras are very subtle but can alter mood, attitude & perception, as well as being seen as a seal or a circuit by-pass for prana.
As for which individual mudras the priest was using, I honestly wouldn't know, you'd need to ask him. Ive never heard of a ceremony for the marriage of God!

subtle power exists every where.
but according to Hindu beliefs it is found in abundance inside symbols depicting god in temples.
Those hand gestures are merely to siphon such energies from a reservoir of subtle power and direct to or guide to one particular object or surrounding.
Thus enriching that object or surrounding with positive energy.

It is a ritual in Hindu temples. this is spiritual aspect, not physical. Female energy merging with male energy is KUNDALINI YOGA. This energy lying dormant in your body also at PERINEUM, region between genital organ & anus. Wake it up & be a SUPER HUMAN.
