Going one step further, what is the role of baptism in light of the controversial verses stating it is for salvation (Mark 16:16); and to receive the Holy Spirit and forgiveness of sin (Acts 2:28)?

I'm not trying to make a particular point, here. It's a QUESTION.

There's a rumor that Yahweh came from a pantheon, probably Mesopotamian, and that the other gods of the same pantheon were simply discarded.

We all know that Dumbledore arranged Harry to be raised by Petunia Dursley, since she's still Harrry's aunt and covers Lily's protection by her blood.

But anyway, what if when Voldemort failed to kill Harry when he was infant, Sirius came earlier than Hagrid and took Harry away with him? And what if Sirius didn't bother to chase Wormtail, but contacted Lupin instead to help him raise Harry (so that Sirius could explain all to Dumbledore and Order of Phoenix about Wormtail's betrayal, thus avoiding his 12-year imprisonment in Azkaban)? Remember, Sirius is Harry's godfather. I think he would be such responsible godfather there. Would Harry be raised in Grimmauld Place no.12 in Black manner (not their Blood-purity idea, Sirius himself disposed it), aristocratic wizarding family way? Would Harry even notice his Muggle aunt and family?

How would this affect the entire series? How would Harry befriend Ron and Hermione? How about Scabbers and the Weasleys?

an entire civilization was born and formed around Gods with names and temples and what not!
so why not believe in something more evident then a ghost???????? ONE crossed man vs an entire cultural foundation! I think this needs to be revisited!

DO YOU CHOOSE NOT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEM OR ARE YOU AFRAID you might find more validation and your entire theory blows out the window???

In the Seventies and Eighties Lays Potato Chips ran a long running ad campaign that stated that "you can't eat just one" Lays chip.

So, is that actually true?

With the exception of a sudden death while in the midst of eating a single Lays potato chip, is there a person who has so much self-control that they can truly only eat just one and then walk away from the opened bag?

I know it isn't me, so is there such a mythical person who can truly eat only one Lays chip?

For those who still insist a global flood happened......where are the bodies? There shoud have been BILLIONS of bodies after the flood and we shoudl still be finding the skeletons today. We should have found entire cities filled with skeletons by now.....there should be places where water washed them all together and formed literal reefs of skeletons. I mean skeletons from all the people on earth AND all animals.

Yet there has never been a finding of mass skeletal deposits like this.

Hi everybody. ok, il keep this short. Me and my wife are happily married, with 2 beautiful daughters, ages 15 and 14. Now, im not opposed to gay people, i have serveral friends of the homosexual persuasion, but 2 days ago i saw my 15 year old deeply kissing another girl before getting out of the car.
