I would only eat one Lays Potato Chip, if it was the last one in the bag at a family carry in and I wanted to throw the bag away, I would eat it rather than waste it. My favorite chips are Ruffles with ridges....Yum!

Scientifically and theoretically it is possible, yes. However, I doubt that many people who enjoy potato chips could eat just ONE. Interesting thought... I know I for one couldn't. I usually end up eating about a small bowlful, hehe.
I wish some scientists would do actual experiments on that. Think of the headlines!

I have opened up a bag of Lay's chips before and just ate one chip, and then put the bag away. To my dismay, when I later return to the bag, it is often too late because my husband likes chips a lot!

What mythological person can eat just one potato chip and leave? Only one person came to mind. Buddha. He is the master of self-control.

Actually I know you may not want to hear this, but I hate potato chips with a passion, so I could eat just one.

I remember when I was a lot younger in Sunday School, when we were learning about temptation, our teacher told us about that jingle. So then, she said we'd all eat just one and prove them wrong. Man, those things we're good! After wards, I asked for another one. So ya, I'm defantently not that "mythical person." But if someone had enough self-control, they could probably handle it.
