I am a Christian. I believe in God. I don't try to convert people over and I respect people who have different faiths than mine and my husband has doubts about God. I wish he was did not, but he does and that's his business and I can't make him believe, so I don't try. So why is it that atheists will always jump down a Christian's throat trying to disprove our beliefs without just quietly going on their merry way and not believing? If you truly didn't believe in a higher power, why would you focus so much time and energy into trying to prove his non-existence to myself and other Christians? Or is it that you're trying to disprove it to yourself so you'll feel better?

The Church of England is threatening to sue Sony over the use of Manchester Cathedral as a backdrop in a war against aliens video game.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6738309.stm

Sony must be rubbing their hands in glee over the free publicity they are receiving whereas the Church of England must surely have more pressing causes to concentrate on like eradicating the contagion of paedophilia which is rampant in their church or trying to alleviate the suffering of the poor and destitute.

Has the Church of England finally lost the plot?

Of having a person kicked off the site for a difference of views? No I have never been kicked off here for any reason, but what is the point of doing it to anyone? Even if they have broken the rules, all they have to do is go and create another identity and come back. So why?

Who wrote the bible that you live your whole life by? Was it men, who are capable of flaws and sin? A simple yes or no will do for this question.

I am a bit confused when it comes to how Jesus is related to God. The trinty says that god is the father, son and holy spirt, SO I would think that God is Jesus, but John 3:16 says, For got so loved the world that he gave his only son. That makes me think Jesus is gods son. HELP??

I live in Chicago, and I've graduated from a public high school with nearly 3,000 students in it two weeks ago. I've been there for 4 years. During that whole time, I've met lots of people, but none of those interactions became friendships. I mean *none*. It seems like the more people get to know me, the more they converse with me, the more distant they become with me. I'm not a shy person, either. I will not hesitate to ask someone a question or for them to lend me a pencil. I share food when people I hardly know ask for it. But I have no friends. When I walked the stage during graduation, in total silence (when literally every other single person was applauded and loudly cheered for), not only did it make me happier to leave that school, but it confirmed the fact that something is wrong with me. Let's say you were someone I met in a class - what would cause you to NOT want to pursue a friendship with me? This same thing also happens outside of school.

According to McConkie in "Mormon Doctrine", Those who fought bravely in the "War in Heaven" were awarded the priveledge of being born with white skin and the super brave ones were born to LDS families. Following that illogic, Romney must have been some kind of commanding General.

America desperately needs that kind of leadership now because of Iraq. Can someone ask your "One and Only True Prophet" to release Romneys military records to us so we can get him voted into office ASAP?

This is a hypothetical question and doesnt represent my beliefs so bear with me and please just answer the question and try not to say how much of an idiot I am or tell me I am going to Hell.

What if there is more then one God? As in, what if our God is the diety of our universe, but what if there are more "Gods" out there ruling their own universe? Also, what if our God is one of the weaker of his race, there are way more powerful dieties out there?
