Who wrote the bible that you live your whole life by? Was it men, who are capable of flaws and sin? A simple yes or no will do for this question.

Yes, but I feel I have to add a little something....All humans are not perfect. We all make mistakes. God forgives us no matter what. You just have to ask him.

The men who wrote the Bible were full of flaws! Moses, who wrote the first five books, killed a man. Solomon, who wrote Proverbs, had many wives and disobeyed God in different ways. Matthew was a crooked tax collector. John, who wrote the gospel that bears his name, wanted to rain fire down on a town that rejected Jesus. Peter, who has his name on two epistles, denied belonging to Jesus.
That is the miracle of the Bible - that God would use imperfect men and women to do His will. However, due to many marvelous things about the Bible, God let their personalities show through, while having pen exactly the worlds He wanted them to write.
It helps to understand what Christians mean by the Word of God. The Word contains the words of saints and sinners, of men and devils. Although it quotes sinners and devils, it is the Word of God simply because God wanted those words preserved for us to read.

I guess we can attribute the Inquisition, Crusades etc. to a minor error in transcription. Clearly with the amount of arguing that occurs over the words in the bible an accurate account of Gods word would have been valuable. But no the perfect creator let the people write down what he said.

You make a wrong premise to begin with. I as a Christian do not "live my whole life by the bible". I make my own choices and I seek God's guidance in my life. Sure I read the bible, and after praying God sometimes guides me to His word in it, but He also uses other means to show me His truth.
People are flawed, and therefore yes the bible could be, but I still maintain that it is "INSPIRED" by God.

Absolutely. When you write a letter, do you write the letter, or does the pen? Obviously you do; the pen is merely the instrument you use. God used men as instruments to write His "letter" to humanity. They ranged from kings to common fishermen, but the 66 books of the Bible were all given by inspiration of God. Proof that this Book is supernatural can been seen with a quick study of its prophecies.

I don't live my whole life by the Bible.
And yes, it was written by human beings capable of flaws and sin. That is why we approach it with redaction criticism, and look for the intentions, biases, and motivations of each author independently.

I believe in God and a higher power. I do not hold much faith in the Bible. It has been proven that much of the Bible has been lost in translation and added to for the sake of religious leaders controlling their people.
If there is a God, and I believe that there is, he would want us to love one another as we love ourselves and not judge or force our beliefs upon each other. This is how I try to live my life.

A simple yes or no is not explanatory enough.
This is: God's words, man's hands.
(These were men inspired by God to write down his words so that we humans could have a written document to live by.)

the bible is God inspired or breathed. Man did not write it but were simply used to write it. If you have eyes to see you would know. God have mercy on you.
