Maybe for one week you should open minded about it. go to church, listen to our parents, and to what the pastor preaches. Is what he's saying make any sense? Have you ever thought about life after death, or if there is something more? Your parents want whats best for you, you should listen to them. Thats their job. Hopefully this is just a stage and you'll grow out of it. Sometimes if you just open your mind briefly to new things, you'll find there is a lot more.

No, I think you are old enough now to make your choice, but your parents won't see it that way because they think it is their responsibility to bring you up as a Christian. It says that in the bible that if you bring a child up in the teachings, that they will not forget it and the church teaches that we adults are responsible to God for you. They are not trying to be stupid or mean. They really think that are caring and Loving you. It is like the seat belt law. The law says , now you don't have a choice. If you will not choose to put them on, we will make you. For less hassles, keep going to make them happy and then when you move out, you can make your own choice. Until you do, they make the rules for your benefit and their peace of mind. They don't want to feel guilty that they didn't teach you right. I know where you are coming from because I have felt that way before.

Well until you get older than 14, your parents have a right
to take you to church with them
you have no say over this matter and till you get to be 18
years old and out of school than it is up to you, but until
then just go along with your parents wishes and respect
them

No you shouldn't be forced. Yes, your parents may believe in god, and you should understand how much they love you and want the best for you. But they can't force you to believe in something. And it's really pointless to go to church if you don't believe. Tell them that you have your own beliefs and that their god does not force himself on others, but rather he is there if you want to follow, and therefore they shouldn't force you to go.

This is how athiests are bred...misguided Christians forcing their beliefs onto others. We're supposed to SUGGEST, not FORCE. God gave free will for craps sakes. Its not up to us to try and take it away! And this is what happens when they force it, people turn against it, defeating the entire purpose. Look, whether you believe in God or not, you shold at least love your folks enough to try and understand why they want you to go. Talk to them. Tell them that its making you resent church, God and their beliefs by being forced to do something against your will. Tell them God gave everyone free will - so why are they taking yours away from you? Go to Wikipedia and type in "God gave free will" so you can have the bible verse (this will show them you learned something and go easier on you). Look, I'm Christian and I dont like it when people shove their ways onto me, either. And believe me, God doesnt want you forced to love Him, either! He wants you to come to Him on your own, so your folks arent doing anyone any good. Talk to them...its probably your only shot.

You can pick your nose, clothes, but not your family. It will pass and in time will be a fond memory.
