You know I have often thought the same thing as you. You're not actually saying you've been a victim of these people or an onlooker. I have had the most frightful time with horrible people. I think its a 'power' thing, I'm convinced of it. My worst experience was in my last job and why - well it was the boss didn't like me. Without going into a lot of detail I bought a 'grievance' and still came out worse off because other people in the department were frightened for their own jobs.
I am over it now but often, when I'm feeling a bit out of sorts memories come back and I start to feel like '....' again.
Basically tho' what I feel is that 'I'm so glad I'm not the same.' I really do think that there must be a way of dealing with situations without destroying people.
So 'chin up' 'Badgrumbles' you are not alone. 'Smile and the World smiles with you - weep and you weep alone.' So they say!
All the best xx

Because they normally have the 'front' to brash things out, they have no conscience and dont care who they hurt to get where they want to be. If they had any self respect they would see their actions and words hurt more than anything.
The old adage 'sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me' is rubbish. Physcial wounds heal mental scarring, a lot of the time from words thrown at you from a strange...stay for a long long time.

Ha ha. They don't forever. What goes around comes around. And if you give out grief it will all start knocking on your door eventually. The reason they are horrible is because they're not happy with themselves. So in fact, you have your revenge because you know they're miserable!

We live in a bad world which is full of rude, nasty and unpleasant people.
Even those people who portray themselves as being good often turn out to be bad, ie. child abusing priests.
People are selfish and only interested in looking after themselves. People like me and you are very much in the minority.
Unfortunately, it is just the way of the world!

They do b/c many are too submissives to stand up to them but every once in a while they run into someone like me who flips out on people who go after other people just to get their way ^_^

Because they will climb over other people to get what they want. Also because they might be selfish?
I'm a firm believer in the saying "What goes around, comes around". And believe me, that seems very true ;o)

They don't get away with it, but they are so hard -hearted that they don't heed others. I just make myself impervious to the real hard core of nasty people. It won't make any difference to them and I'm too busy living, enjoying, laughing and loving to allow them to make any marks on my spirit. x

I don't think they do - sooner or later their behaviour catches up with them - and there is alway the final judgement.....
