What are your views on the difference between mercy and grace. Just curious to see what people really think. I know what I think, but I don't want to influence any answers.

Should Yahoo get rid of all the abstract categories and just have categories for simple questions and answers, like, "how do I embalm uncle Joe? Or, should we all just stop pretending we're on here to learn anything about how other people think, and are just here for infotainment??

So if deep down you always think you are correct, and you know you can make mistakes (and you don't need a book to tell you you're fallible), how can you justify any static conviction with any strong degree of certainty? You only ever convince yourself of how convinced you are of something. Why not accept something as an *apparent* truth and let go of it if it stops fitting?

Wouldn't God be existance itself? No being created this existance, it just exists. To say that God is a being has a couple different views. If we were created by a being then we were still created by Existance, because the existance created the beings that created us. Try to think for a second befor you spit out and answer out of context. Thanks.

Just before, I asked a question about catholics.

Because I used the term "they" I was told that, seeing as I am obviously not a catholic, that I should mind my own business.

Aside from the fact that I was brought up a catholic and come from a catholic family, which I think does make it my business, even if I'm a catholic now, isn't the whole point of Y/A that people ask questions?

Does the guy who told me to mind my own business expect everyone to stick to asking questions about their own faith and that alone?

Or is it just someone who decides to be agressive with everyone he disagrees with?

You can continue on the same road you always travel, to do Each day you can choose the same things you've always done
or you can turn on a new path?

I seem to be aware of all the side roads lately.
It is distracting, it is maddening.

I am catholic but I can't accept the Pope as that kind of man and to see all these bishops in beautiful cars arriving to the vatican, when jesus was poor and humble,, I believe in the catholic doctrine but not our leaders.. meanwhile a lot of catholics suffering in the world, and the pope living as king and his bishopss!!! what a contradiction with gospel?!

CHRISTIAN owned online matchmaking service eHarmony is being sued by a lesbian. She claims she couldn't find a lesbian mate online. Well, duh! eHarmony refuses to pander to the gay community and stick to matching heterosexual relationships only. I am so sick and tired of homosexuals shoving their lifestyle and their gay agenda down our throats.

Ephesians 4:32 says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."
How would you describe the way God has forgiven us? (Consider Psalm 103:10-12)
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us

How should His forgiveness affect the way we deal with those who sin against us?

When I am saved what are the next steps. And i do not mean just reading the word and praying and going to meet with other christians. What is the intrinsic things taking place within my being. What is God's goal in saving me. Is it just to find out what my gift or ministry is and serve in that capacity? Is it just to preach the gospel and demonstrate God's love to others? Is it just to live a good life and die and go to heaven? Or is it for something more. Is this all that there is?
I do believe that there is more to it that just this.
Your thoughts!

If I believe in God and live a good christian life and my husband does not, does that mean that we will be separated in eternal life. I would be so sad to go to heaven without him, I can't imagine being happy.
