Gringo means "White Boy". I was called a gringa when I was in high school because I went to a school with a 94 percent hispanic population, and I am white. Of course, what they didn't know is that I'm also half hispanic. It depends on who said it and how they said it. They could have just been joking, or maybe they really meant it in an offensive way. It all depends on how you take it.

Hope this helped!

No. According to some dude in the Arizona Republic newspaper, most Mexicans don't call white folk Gringos. Only white people call themselves Gringo. Or in movies or whatever.

There's a great bar in Tempe, AZ called Dos Gringos. Woot woot!

If someone calls you that it is not to be nice.
It is a pejorative term used to refer to anyone that is white or Caucasian.
There is a lot of false etymology regarding how the term originated but it goes back a long way, at least 1000 years. years and was used in Spain to refer to foreign invaders from Europe.
The Hispanics have much worse terms to refer to people that are African or of African decent.
If you think that white Americans are the worst racists and bigots in the world, then you just have no idea.
Not even close !

Its grouped in with those words used to be racially offensive. Every race has their own. Its just stupid and if you allow yourself to be offended by it, then that means you allow them to have the power over you controlling your emotions. Tell them to *** off and keep moving up.

Well, you're obviously not offended now, so don't get offended once you find out what it means. That'll be stupid. Chill. I've been called it too. *Gringa. Cheers!
