Recently, I read what I found to be a rather accurate description of the christian god. Do you agree?

"He does not play dice with the universe; he plays an ineffable game of his own devising, which might be compared from the perspective of the other players (ie-everyone else) to being an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a dealer who won't tell you the rules and who smiles ALL THE TIME"

1. Imagine a world where 90% of the population believes the tooth fairy exist

2. Imagine millions of people believing a book that says you're a fool for not believing the tooth fairy exist

3. Imagine people in the streets saying, "get saved before it's too late. The tooth fairy's coming back"

4. Imagine a history of millions of people getting slaughtered in the name of the tooth fairy.

5. Imagine people debating about which tooth fairy's book is true

6. Imagine you telling people that the top scientists dont believe the tooth fairy exist trying to wake them up

7. Imagine people saying "I know the tooth fairy exist because I can feel her in my teeth"

8 Imagine people saying "somone hit me and my teeth didn't fall out. The tooth fairy saved my teeth.

9. Imagine people saying "even though you dont believe the tooth fairy's real, she still loves you"

10. Imagine you saying "These people have to be crazy

Dont get mad its always good to question : )

But I just think people created gods themselves to comfort them and to answer the questions they didnt know the answers to.

I also think each culture created their own higher being to somehow relate to.

I dont think believe in a god is bad...its actually good because it brings out the good in people, i guess, sometimes.

Anyone else agree with me?

Is it truely possible for a man and a woman to be married & have children if they are from two different religions? If the man is Muslim and the woman is Christian and they marry then have children how successful can it be to raise your children in a multifaith household especially when the two are very distinct and different? Is it truely possible to live a happy "normal" life and still keep the faith of both?

If some one converts because of money, marriage etc they haven't really converted - they have just given in. I would not convert for any amount of money or for a woman.

Granted some people especially a minority of us Christian are some times too pushy. I have cultists coming to my door and pressuring me but I just politely cut them off and say see you later. I see no reason for getting angry just because some one mentions the word God or Jesus.

Many times I have politely asked some one if they have heard about Jesus and it is quite comical to see all the different reactions especially the red faces and veins popping out. One of my favorites is "no I'm a Catholic."

why did it take him 6 days to create everything? shouldn't he have been able to just snap his fingers and everything would be done? what's even more interesting is when people try to defend the young earth theory and say, "well, in the bible it says one day was like a thousand years." so instead of 6 days it was actually more like 6000 years for creation to take place? isn't that sort of limiting what god says he did even more? if he said one day, shouldn't we take him at his word?

Someone asked how I would propose we work together, I turn to you my brothers and sisters in Christ(or others who want to really be helpful in this) for answers again. How can we work together in YA-not for points, but to demonstrate the character that Jesus said would be a witness to the world(By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another)?

would it be safe to say that one might be an atheist , not only because one does not believe that a creator exists, but because some of the actions of <> are so immoral and violent , that you are rejecting him for that very reason ????

Or has anyone else noticed that the bullies or villains in children's movies or shows are disproportionately redheads, overweight, or both. I noticed this a few years ago and have paid closer attention since. This is just a short list below that I thought of off the top of my head, but I could go on. Please spare me with the positive redhead and overweight characters in movies. Duh, I'm not saying its all movies and characters, but it just to me seems to be a common typecast for that type of character. I'm just curious to know why, if anyone has any theories. Are redheads and fat people supposed to be mean or scary or something? I missed the memo.
