Is it truely possible for a man and a woman to be married & have children if they are from two different religions? If the man is Muslim and the woman is Christian and they marry then have children how successful can it be to raise your children in a multifaith household especially when the two are very distinct and different? Is it truely possible to live a happy "normal" life and still keep the faith of both?

He comes from a multi-faith household where his father is Muslim and his mother is Christian. He was raised by both but he chooses his Muslim roots, he says that it makes more sense to him but it also seems to me that his father plays a strong role in what he has to do. He does what his father says but it seems like he really doesn't want to. He is supposed to be in an arranged marriage to a Muslin woman according to his religion but he is with me...a Christian woman.

Sure.Any number of people have done it and are doing it right now.It is really easy if we learn to keep various aspects of our life in their proper perspectives.Children who grow up in such environment are broad minded and liberal,WORLD needs more of such people right now.

yeah i've heard of a few interfaith marriage. You must remember that when it comes time to have kids you both cannot argue over what religion to teach him/her. because that will tear you guys apart. if you want a child with multi faith that is fine.
the reason why islam does not recomend it is a) you might fight over the childs faith, b) the child might say 'hey you both have opposite believes this is wak, im gonna be athiest, or c) 'my parents are mixed and they don't really practice their religion anyway, so im just not gonna practice any religion'
do you get it? kind of complicated. but if you keep God in your mind and ask him for help I'm sure you'll come up with the right plan.

Yes. It is one of those challenges married couples can face though.
I actually wonder if this would bring about a stronger faith in the child. You can honestly tell the child this is one area where the parents disagree, but it's ok to not agree on everything and they still love and respect each other's traditions.

Yes, it's very possible, especially if the muslim has open mind, and the christian is a unitarian christian.

My advice why limit yourself...you are spirit right....I dont have a faith as such I love Jesus I love God....why do you need anything else such as old books to tell you what to believe...or what to do ....no doubt as a guide they can help...
but I dont restrict myself to faiths as such....I f you love this person and she loves you try it.....you know you have to work at a very close relationship...give it a try....your not commiting any sins by doing this remember we are all spirit and loved equally.....trust me friend these words I say do not come from any bible or Koran they come from spirit....

yes. simply allow your children to make their own decisions regarding religion. if the husband and wife can love each other despite their religious differences, then they should be able to love their children even if they don't choose the same religion(s)
