"both read Bible day and night thou see's black whereas I see white"
it could refer to any holy book or even a commentary on a book. Two people read but come to diff conclution
So how will you know you've understood properly.
for example-
One day you thought an answer was good and logical and you accpted it but the next day a better answer came so you changed your idea
SO HOW DO YOU KNOW YOUR INTERPETATION IS BONAFIDE????????????
This question is for ALL people

I doesn't appear like anyone can find "god".... The faithful keep asking "where he is...."

"Have you seen him....?"
"Have you received him...?"
"Have you met him....?"

It's a great game of Hide-and-Seek that started with the Jews and hasn't ended yet. A grand snipe hunt.

What do you think...?

I am seriously trying to understand:
Atheists call some conservative Christians "fundies", implying that they are close minded, etc...
However - some Atheists honestly and sincerely state their thoughts such as "when I die I will be food for worms" or "I stopped believing in imaginary friends when I was 7"

Would these statements not also reveal a certain amount of close mindedness?

In addition, I am trying to understand where one's hope lies if the assumption is that we are indeed "food for worms".

thank you

I know quite a few people who pretend to be bipolar so they can get an SSI check. I even know a psychologist who encourages this and writes fake reports and prescribes medicine telling the patients not to take it because it's just for show (usually they get high off it or sell it to other people) because he collects more money from his medic-aid patients. I reported it to DHS but I don't think it did any good. What do actual disabled people think about this?

Why blame god for all that is wrong in the world? We say, why cant god stop world hunger, why cant god stop war? Do you all realize that its up to us? Do you realize if every check we gave 20 dollars instead of spending it on drugs, make up, clothes, and other things that we don’t really need, we could solve hunger . God wants up to take care of each other. Why blame god for not stopping the war, when he cant. God gave us free will, he cant control us, its up to us, and only us.

In order for man to comprehend God’s infinite nature, he must allow God to descend into the mental world, thereby decreasing the infinite power into a perceptible finite form. The purpose of this is to engulf the man’s mind in ecstatic blissful union with the source that gave him life. Through repeated practice the man learns to comprehend his infinite nature and recognize his divine place in the universe.
Man is happy with his world so long as he is happy with his soul.

In America they are not allowed to serve openly in the military and are not allowed to marry (except in one state). They are openly and repeatedly persecuted by religious majorities, their existence and freedom blamed for all manner of ills in America.

Shouldn't Canada, which permits gay marriage and protects homosexuals from hate-based attacks, grant refugee status to any gay seeking to escape persecution in America or any other country where gays are persecuted?

Hello, my name is Phil

I think its fairly clear which way things are shaping up.

With all the Jihads against the west and the President of Iran calling on other Islamic states to anihalate Israel (along with other Jewish nations), its pretty obvious.

In the theoretical war, which side will you be on?

The Christ-Judism alliance versus the Middle east religions, particularly Islam.

I think the catalyst will be the President of Iran's statement:

"The holocaust is the biggest lie of the 20th century!!!"

This is just a theoretical thing, so don't get TOO passionate about it.

Oh, and which side would atheists be under? Not really their own side... But I think they would go with the CJ's.

- Lol yahoo thinks I should put this in "cars and transportation"

Jesus never said anything about it, so when people ask about Homosexuality they are pointed toward Leviticus, but don't Christians not follow the Old Testament Laws? So is that law applicable any more if none of the other Old Testament laws should be followed? Or is that an "exception"?

What's (in your opinion) the most powerful verse in the Bible? ((:

I think it's:

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

oh yes...
