I think they are greedy and selfish, low life's who think nothing of those who struggle everyday with a real disability.
Its free and easy money to them. What also peeves me off, is some of these same people are also working and not declaring their earnings.
Its these sort of people who make it hard for those with a real disability to claim a SSI/Centrelink payment legitimately.
Centrelink is Australian Government's Social Security

Yes it bothers me to see this everywhere! I just had another doctors exam this week and I hope to soon be on SSI or SSD for my disability!
I see fakers all the time and I ask the soc board on how do these ppl make it on with no true disability!
And now I just met a few ppl that got on total disability for that bullcrap ADD and 2 more for ADHD and if that is not a crock! For ppl with true problems and they let fakes like that get on it what is the world coming to!
My doctor and the SS doctors say I need special testing but the cost is so high I cannot afford it!
I think every parent that works should not be able to get help for there kids with Medicaid! You had kids you pay!And they even get food stamps!Make those ppl go get jobs!Take away welfare and food stamps from any person that can work!

I think anyone who pretend to have a disability have no idea of what life is real like with a disability. It a big shame that they do not consider how serious a disability can be.
If they fake it they should be put in a mental illness home.
and live under the condition they do. I sure they will not find it fun with the restitution's.
Many of the Spain intellectual basketball team faked having there disability. Their action end up having thier medal taken off them. And true athleties with an Intellectual disability no longer in the Paralympics.
What if someone decided to stop payment to people truely with bi polar because some people are caught faking it.
Or maybe they should be made to work in a mental illness home to see what it is like.

Im bipoler and Borderline Personality Disorder I been trying to get SSI for over 3 years. I have not been able to work in two year because of my meds and therapy twice a week. I so wish this was not real and have spent 10 years trying to hide it and just live life. I have had over 50 jobs lived in more that 20 places. I am good looking so when I start to date, everything is good untill my mood swings take over and drive the person away. Its a very hard life for me.
Anyone who fakes bipoler is either lazy or has a mental illness. I say mental illness because SSI is no life and your life is one big lie. Who would want to be with a person that lies just to be lazy? That can't be fun. You will never have the things you want out of life with just SSI and If they work under the table too, they need to be in jail. I hope one day to live a full life and not have a dime of help from the state.
I hope you keep calling the state about this matter Its a real problem I know. I think its great you don't just sit back and let people be lazy. You have to work for your dreams and one day they just mite come true.

It is sickening. I have a number of mental health issues to the point I spent nearly two full years in one stretch in a facility. I ingest a small pharmacy everyday just to be functional. Because I have socialization problems my circle of real life friends is quite small compared to most and usually people with issues similar to me. I know there isn't a single on of us that wouldn't gladly give up a check to be able to lead a healthy life. When people fake mental illness (And yes physical at times too as back problems seem to be very popular for fakers) just to get the financial benefits it casts a negative light on those of us who really suffer. I have had people at times tell me that "So and so can do this, that or the other...so you can too" not realizing so and so was playing a game. I live in a disabled housing facility in which there are people residing that even the administration knows are fakers, but can't get rid of because their dx is active and "supported" by a dr. They take space from those that really need it. It's infuriating and hard to prove but with any luck hopefully some way will be found to goad these rats out of their holes.

I am a C-6 Quadrapalegic, meaning I am paralyzed from the neck down. It makes me so mad when anybody fakes a disability. I think they should be prosecuted to the fullest exstent of the law. Then I think they should duct taped to a wheelchair for a month and left to get along by themselves. I have been fighting with the government for 30 years to get equal rights, financial aid,and a better standard of living for the truely disabled and every one of these thieves take money out of programs that could help those of us in real need.

Mental disable person don't always pretend and it is hard to tell sometimes. ?Even if they lied to get it then that small amount they get evey month will make them mental sure enough. There are many stages of mental dyfunctioning and all diagnosis are not the same. So to accuse someone of pretending, be careful, cause the ones some think are okay have done some horrific things in life. Futhermore lots of people on these everyday jobs are experiencing mental changes and hiding behind their jobs right now. So who can weight out who is mental.

It makes me pretty angry. I have disabilities that a lot of people would use to get SSI, but I won't do it. I'm going to find a way to work and earn an honest living. I know I can.
I'm opening the second location of my business this week. I'm making quite a bit of money and I love what I do. I'm seeing myself have a real positive influence on my clients and it's very rewarding to me.

It makes me sick to my stomach to see people abuse the system. It is extremely hard for us genuinely disabled people to get the resources we need, without having to battle those who break the law by constantly abusing the system.
These people also frighten me. Where are their hearts? Have they no souls or spirits of what it must actually be like to have to live with challenges. Especially in a world like we live in today.
My heart gets heavy when I hear stories about how people have become homeless because they couldn't get their benefits and then to hear someone who is perfectly healthy brag about working the system.
If I was in your situation I would have done all I could also to try and get this doctor found out and brought up on charges.
The bottom line is, humans are flawed and we will never get past those that care and those that could careless.

If you really know people who are doing this than why not report them to Social Security?? That is the federal agency that would be the one to do the investigation. Any one who would cheat the system is a criminal and taking from someone who needs it more. What goes around comes around. People who have a need to do this are really pathetic and don't have a life of their own and don't know how to get one. You should also report the psychologist the medical board would probably revoke his or her license.
but you need to report it to The Department of Social Security and to be able to back up your claim.

I think people who pretend to be disabled in order to have a free ride, people who ridicule or criticize the disabled and are mean to them will ultimately end up disabled themselves because God is watching.
I know 2 people who were very mean to their disabled sister and both have ended up with such severe arthritis they had to quit working.
I know another man who left the country to avoid a law suit for an accident he caused and was hit by an uninsured driver in the country he fled to and has the SAME injuries as the person he himself hit.
I firmly believe what goes around comes around.
