Even though it is still the best selling book throughout time, most people still can not claim that they have already read the bible thoroughly.
Is there a bible version that is so narrative that you can regard it as a novel (easy to read and understand also thrilling)?

ok why is it that the bible sounds like a mythological story. I mean walking on water, rising from the death, born from a virgin. I think the best proof about Jesus and God are those dead sea scrolls. Do you agree with me?

Salam Alaykum!

I researched about how the hijab is mandatory, and now I think I really want to cover my head before the next school year begins, inshaAllah. But some people in my family are telling me that I shouldn't do it now, because of all the terrorist attacks that are going on, and to avoid harrassment, etc. They said I should wait until I get married, and then cover. But I really don't want to wait that long, because I know that Allah (swt) can take my life before then and then it'd be too late.

How can I convince them that I need to wear it? I appreciate all your help, may Allah (swt) bless us and guide us all.

Jesus Christ is offensive. He gives absolutes. The Bible is offensive. It gives absolutes. People say or do things every day that are offensive to my beliefs. People, if you disagree with me, fine, but if you think you have the right to live without me expressing my beliefs as much as you express yours, then move to China. You'll fit in well there. (On re-reading what I just wrote, it sounds angry--I'm not really, just trying to make a point.)

A "Christian" is, by definition, someone who follows Christ.
An "Atheist" is, by definition, someone who does not believe in a deity.

If someone claims to be a Christian, and yet is not following Christ's teachings at all, then they are not a true Christian. (They're not really following Christ).

If someone claims to be an Atheist, and yet is acting badly, they are STILL an Atheist (they still don't believe in God).

This is not a compliment or an insult of either Atheism or Christianity. It is a mere technicality, a consequence of the particular definitions of these words.

What am I missing? Why is this so hard to grasp?

Okay you don't believe in my Church thats fine but why do you feel the need to go around bashing it. I don't believe in the Catholic church but I don't stand out side their church waving hateful signs and mocking the things that they consider holy. This is a pathetic and Un-American thing to do

My father is a Pagan, and I think he is planning some kind of get-together around the time of the summer solstice. As a non-Pagan, what could I contribute to the festivities?

I would ask my dad what he expects me to bring, but I'd like to contribute in some way as a surprise.

They say that because we have no moral guidelines to follow, we can justify doing anything without the worry of getting in trouble. Well I would like to point something out. The Bible CLEARY STATES that as long as you accept Jesus as your savior and ask for forgiveness, you will be forgiven for any sin that you ask forgiveness for with the exception of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. This gives any Christian the justification to commit any horrible act they please without having to worry about the repercussions because all they have to do is confess and ask for forgiveness. Now obviously most Christians are good and don't do bad things but most atheists are good and don't do bad things. My point is that how good a person acts has absolutely nothing to do with their religious faith. People choose to be good by their own free will, not cause of religion.

I have this idea for doing something like the old "Guardian Angels" but only the 21st century version.
It wouldn't be the first time I thought of something that already existed. If one dosen't does anyone have any ideas how it could work ?

Matthew 5:22 - "But whosoever shall say 'Thou fool' shall be in danger of hell fire.
