My mom and dad went shopping for my costume separately. I was about 9 and wanted to be Tinkerbell.
My mom found me the cutest little Tinkerbell dress and shoes...while my dad found me a Shera mask.
He claims to have thought it was Tinkerbell but I think he secretly wanted to sabotage my costume! haha :)
Either way, it was a disaster to my little 9yr old self then and hilarious now.

I once went as an elephant junkie. I had a children's elephant costume that consisted of a hood with a trunk that practically stood straight up, eyes, ears, etc. Then I pretty much dressed like Travis Bickle (DeNiro's character in Taxi Driver) put a slight amount of red makeup on my eyelids, and darker makeup under my eye, and made some track marks on my arm.

My favorite memory is when I went as Casper the Friendly ghost for Halloween. But, I was only about 6. Still its stands out!

I was a gypsy (ok, I'm pretty sure that is a politically incorrect term and costume). I had a long, flowery skirt with ruffles, a peasant blouse and strands and strands of my mother's costume beads. I was lovely.

I dressed up as a pumpkin and went to work like that and all of the guys kept following me around with forks saying they had "a sudden hankering" for pumpkin pie!
