The bible does not state if he was at the Crucifixion, but it does say that he came for Christ's body afterward.

Matthew 27:57-60
57 As evening approached, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus. 58 Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus' body, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him. 59J oseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.

...Joseph of Arimathea was a secret follower of Jesus.
...We have no evidence he was at the crucifixion of Jesus; he did ask for the body of Jesus and had the body laid in a new tomb he had prepared.
...Other answers here said he cried with everyone else at the crucifixion. I find no evidence in Scripture that he was there, nor do I know of anywhere in Scripture we are told Joseph of Arimathea was weeping at the crucifixion of Jesus.
...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. (Acts 16:31)
...Whosoever will, may come.

Joseph of Arimathea was, according to the Gospels, the man who donated his own prepared tomb for the burial of Jesus after Jesus was crucified. A native of Arimathea, he was apparently a man of wealth, and probably a member of the Sanhedrin (which is the way bouleutēs, literally "counsellor", is often interpreted in Matthew 27:57 and Luke 23:50). Joseph was an "honourable counsellor, who waited (or "was searching") for the kingdom of God" (Mark 15:43), according to John 19:38 he was secretly a disciple of Jesus.

Joseph of Arimathea wasn't around at the time when Jesus was crucified - he was far away from Golgotha when he heard about Jesus' death for as soon as he heard the news of Jesus' death, he "went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus." The Scholars Version notes this as "unexpected… Is Joseph in effect bringing Jesus into his family?"

Pilate, reassured by a centurion that the death had really taken place, allowed Joseph's request. Joseph immediately purchased fine linen (Mark 15:46) and proceeded to Golgotha to take the body down from the cross. There, assisted by Nicodemus, he took the body and wrapped it in the fine linen, sprinkling it with the myrrh and aloes that Nicodemus had brought (John 19:39). The body was then conveyed to a new tomb that had been hewn for Joseph himself out of a rock in his garden nearby. There they laid it, in the presence of Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of Jesus, and other women, and rolled a great stone to the entrance, and departed (Luke 23:53, 55). This was done speedily, "for the Sabbath was drawing on".

Joseph of Arimathea is venerated as a saint by the Catholic, Lutheran, and Eastern Orthodox Churches. His feast-day is March 17 among Roman Catholics, and July 31 among the Lutherans. The Orthodox commemorate him on the Sunday of the Myrrhbearers—the second Sunday after Pascha (Easter)—as well as on July 31. He appears in some early New Testament apocrypha, and a series of legends grew around him during the Middle Ages, which tied him to Britain and the Holy Grail.

He gave his tomb for Him to be laid to rest. He also made sure that Jesus was taken down before sundown (Sabbath) so that he may be buried. It was the norm in crucifixion for the victim to be left on the cross to rot and be picked by crows.
