I notice on this board, particularly, there are people who do things because they are anonymous. If they were dealing with a person face to face, that was filling out a form or writing something they certainly would not make fun of their failure to spell correctly.
I have found that my brain is wired to my fingers by sound. I have gone back and reread things I typed and maybe I put "no" when I meant "know."
Also, I would hope our religion, no matter what it is, would teach us to be charitable toward people who might have handicaps, learning, visual and other handicaps.
I am on the genealogy board quite a lot. I have noticed that people who make smart alec remarks about someone's spelling or grammar get quite a few thumbs down. They are more conscious of rudeness on that board.
However, the topic on this board and on the political boards, mean it has people who are subjective about a question. I wonder if people realize that they do not reflect well on themselves or their faith by being rude.

relax
forgive
let nothing take your joy and peace away in Jesus
relax and learn to forgive-try being better than those that put you down=and have a good fellowship to attend it has alot to give-like my Jewish Messianic, and the evangelical bible churches too-yet there are those in religion that only have religion-and there is a spirit of religion and its self righteous and condescending.
this is how I learned forgiveness and it really helps=yes keep a good Spirit and its very true-"As I have forgiven you forgive others."
in salvation we owe Jesus everything-I repented from my sins asked Jesus into my heart to be my friend, and got born again. John 3 and Revelation 3:19&20 "I love you and ask you to repent quickly, Behold I stand at your heart's door and knock to come in, if you hear my word and open the door, I will come in and have fellowship with you and you with me."
I say unto you forgive 70 times 7.
"Vengence is mine saith the Lord, therefore I will repay."
a song-If I hold my peace and let the lord fight my battles, Victory oh Victory shall be mine."
never fear what others say especially over mispelling a word-let your defining of you be from-only Jesus-and let him define you and you will have the victory, David-mind Jesus buisness

Because Christians are human too...and it is only natural to want to put down someone who through our own pride seems lesser than ourselves. Not a good Christian trait however. It would be considered a sin.

why would you think a Christian would NOT be the same kind of weakling that you are?? Christianity means I've ADMITTED that I am a weak, helpless jerk no matter what I do or how successful I am.... and that God has provided reconciliation with Him even if I am a jerk...

Because misspelled words take away from your credibility. How do you expect people to take you seriously when you cannot edit your own post?

It is not nearly as important what people claim to be as it is what Christ claims to be.
