In a perfect world, religion is only supposed to be an organized fellowship group for people to share their beliefs about God. But the world isn't perfect. Even some of the most pious acting religious leaders have ulterior motives of greed for power and control.
It's not necessarily human nature that people who obtain power become corrupt. But corrupt people are usually the ones who pursue powerful positions.
The only thing I hate about organized religion is that religious leaders are not elected at the grass roots level. But they are only put into position by a small committee of their peers.

nope, it's not religion but man that makes a mess of it. It's all a he said, she said thing and trying to prove one is right over another. Instead of looking for the good in all and accepting differences. I've been reading a book called, Religions of the World it has really opened my eyes on alot of things.
I really like this saying.... and maybe it'll help you to better understand the people behind the religious zeal that they sometimes show....
Religions are windows that allow outsiders to see into what is most meaningful in other peoples' lives.
The problem is is instead of just looking we have them coming in through the window and trying to convert anyone who doesn't believe or read the same scripture as them, showing no tolerance or seeing just what is important to others in their lives. It's all in how you look at it. But the root of the evil is not religion but the people behind it!

I don't hate it. In fact, I think it has a positive effect on many lives.
But I do find the philosophical underpinnings of most religious concepts to be laughable and sitting ducks in the cross-hairs of a critical thinkers. After taking a few philosophy courses and working as a writing tutor for two years, 9 times out of ten, any opinionated or argumentative paper using religion for its core is underdeveloped and dogmatic.

As a Buddhist, I do not hate, but I don't appreciate the negativity some people inject into their religious beliefs. In the end, religion is supposed to be a path to personal happiness and success in life, not a pulpit from which you slander and hate.

Religion can be condescending-but knowing Jesus love and forgiveness is encouraging.
I dont hate anything or body-except for evil-yet evil can hide behind religion-and I have learned to forgive and let Jesus deal with them-He does a better job than I can=relax and learn to forgive-try the bible Jesus
"Unto us a child is born a son is given, and he will be the almighty God and the prince of peace." predicted 700 bc by Isaiah 9:6
'good religion' it has alot to give-like my Jewish Messianic, and the evangelical bible churches too-yet there are those in religion that only have religion-and there is a spirit of religion and its self righteous and condescending.
this is how I learned forgiveness and it really helps=yes keep a good Spirit and its very true-"As I have forgiven you forgive others."
in salvation we owe Jesus everything-I repented from my sins asked Jesus into my heart to be my friend, and got born again. John 3 and Revelation 3:19&20 "I love you and ask you to repent quickly, Behold I stand at your heart's door and knock to come in, if you hear my word and open the door, I will come in and have fellowship with you and you with me."
I say unto you forgive 70 times 7.
"Vengence is mine saith the Lord, therefore I will repay."
a song-If I hold my peace and let the lord fight my battles, Victory oh Victory shall be mine."
never fear what religious others say-only do listen to Jesus-and let him define you and you will have the victory, David-
Religion is man made, Jesus is God made into man

Y ??
Religion makes u a proper person it makes u a human being
if u dont have rulez in schools then u can imagine how will the kids behave....the same way as we r all created by God he kept some rules for us to follow .....this life is a test for us whereas the life hereafter is the result of this life......if u create a robot for example u will keep some rulez for him like not to eat any food ...not to take a bath or jump into water bcoz u know its harmful for the robot ......
the same way religion puts forward some rules so we donot destroy our lives instead live them like a proper human.......
by the way i donot hate religion.....i am not very religious....but follow it to the level i can best follow....thanx

I don't hate religion...but I do not like the fact that so many people of all faiths have the tendency to believe in their "religion" rather than to have a personal relationship with their God.

Yes. Jesus hated religion. (I'm completely serious.) Read "The End of Religion : Encountering the Subversive Spirituality of Jesus" by Bruxy Cavey.

I hate religions that allow practices that are not based on Bible truth (John 4:24).
I hate religions that call on Jesus as the Almighty. (Philippians 2:5)
I hate religions that allow their members to violate God's law without consequences.
I hate religions that tell lies about Jehovah God.
But I don't hate people. I hate false religion.
