Isn't the answer quite obviously because 'he' isn't a being of reality... not a person, not a spirit, not an entity of any substance at all.

God doesn't. God is just not that weak.
People "defend" their beliefs -- regardless of what they are -- because our beliefs make up such a large part of who we are. But, even for us Christians, defense of what we believe is not defense of God...cause it's not really like anyone can truly attack God.
I mean, even insisting that God doesn't exist doesn't REALLY DO anything to God. It doesn't make God not exist. It just riles the God-defenders into action. But God isn't affected by humanity in such a way that God (or God's name) requires defense by humanity.
That's even Biblically evident. For instance, when the Roman guards came to take Jesus to prison, Peter "defended" Jesus by cutting off the guard's ear. What did Jesus say? What did Jesus do? He put the ear back on and told Peter he didn't need to be defended.
Even more Biblically apparent is the fact that God is a defender - rather than the defenseless or defended. That's all over the Psalms, all over the Prophets.

All this to say: God doesn't need people to defend God's Self or God's name. God is a defender of people and is unaffected by so-called "attacks" on God's name. (After all, God is NOT the Ori...)

He does defend Himself. He does defend us too. I know a guy who is a corrections officer. He actually led an inmate to faith in Jesus after the inmate tried to stab him but couldn't because God or some invisible being (maybe an angel) was holding his arm back. The situation was that the corrections officer was being set up by his enemies to be hurt. They locked him in a room with like sixty inmates and one had a knife. He pulled out his baton, just as he was trained to do, but God told him to put his baton away. He did. Then he told the inmate to drop the knife and put his hands against the wall, reassuring the inmate that he would not harm him. He brought the guy in to the authorities of the prison. They put him in solitary for a while. The inmate was scared to death and he talked to the corrections officer about the incident. The corrections officer told the inmate that God was his protector and led him in the sinner's prayer to become a Christian. It was really cool. The corrections officer had to answer to his employers about why he put his baton away, which was not proper procedure. He told them that God told him to put his baton away and he didn't get in trouble at all. That was cool too. God doesn't keep all harm from His children. I don't fully understand why. No one does but I do trust that God will work everything together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes, just as He promised (Romans 8:28).

Get this.. Its actually the other way around.. Its the Blood of Jesus that speaks for us. There is only one accuser of the Bretheren and that accuser is Satan. Satan accuses us day and night before the throne. (See the case of Job) But the BLood of the Lord Jesus defends us and answers Before God ALL the accusations made by the devil against us.

The Lord mediates for us...He prays for us... Interceeds in His High Priestly Ministry for us. God defends us in an Unseen way that is beyond what is within our sight and realization.

I thank the Lord that when i apply His blood to my sins that He is faithful and righteous to forgive me of my sins and cleanse me of all unrighteous..
That although I am not perfect ..I AM UNDER THE PERFECT BLOOD which answers to all that satan throws.
talk about defending someone.. Its what God does for us
These little forums are cute.. but in the real sphere of things.. they DO NOT match to what the Lord defends and guards us from in the spiritual realm.

God needs know one to defend him...

He inspired men to write a warning to his people, a love letter of his love and return to earth.

Just because one does not believe it does not mean it is not so! The BIBLE.

He doesn't need us too, but after all Hes done for us its the least we can do.And i dont think its right if people who claim to love Him sit back and let others say bad things about Him. Its like if some one talked about your best friend wouldn't you stick up for them?

We, that believe in Him have to defend His name, because people hate God.

He said we would suffer persecution for knowing Him and I LOVE that I can take up for my God.
He is so good to me!
