Simply because Jesus never founded christianity.

Jesus founded the Nazarenes also known as the gnostics.

The Vatican has known for almost 2000 years that it was Paul of Tarsus, not Jesus who founded christianity.
http://one-faith-of-god.org/new_testament/apocrypha/founders_christianity/founders_christianity_0010.htm

Jesus stood for ending the reign of evil of the Sadducee High Priests and the false worship of satan, the "jealous god", the "vengeful god".

The Sadducees and Paul of Tarsus stood for deceit, for power, for enslavement. Guess who won?

The Vatican today is without question the single largest and wealthiest organization on the planet, with assets exceeding $3,000 Billion.
http://one-faith-of-god.org/final_testament/end_of_darkness/truth/truth_0030.htm

The Vatican is by far the largest holder of land titles for any organisation or government in the world with visible title to around US $316 Billion of property (churches, schools, hospitals etc) and around US $2,623 Billion of investment property hidden in an extremely complex networks of hundreds of thousands of trusts and front companies.

The current market property value of Vatican City, in the heart of Rome alone is worth between US $1 Billion and $3 Billion. This excludes the value of the priceless artworks and valuables stored within its walls.

+++What would Jesus Do?+++

+ The Catholic Church has never been the legitimate body representing Jesus. It is an imposter, a fraud.

+ In spite of the overwhelming evidence of corruption, of morally bankrupt behaviour, of evil, many people continue to defend such action, to the point of attacking those who dare to raise it.

+ Until good people are prepared to take a stand against such evil, it will continue to thrive.

At least Jesus owned the robe He wore. The Pope doesn't even own his own clothing. He has no personal possessions at all, and lives in a modest apartment. The Vatican is a sovereign state for the same reason that the national capital of the United States is not located in any one state, but is in a separate district that is not part of any state. In the same way, the Pope is the head of the universal Christian Church, which includes all countries on earth. Therefore it would not be right for the Pope's residence or the Vatican offices to be located in one of the many countries he serves on an equal basis.

Pastor Billy says: so you disagree with the state of Israel? That's run as a religious Jewish state. Jesus Christ Church is above nationalism. Catholicism is the universal Church geographically and doctrinally. The Vatican may be seen as the central diocese but it is not the end all of Catholicism. If it was destroyed Catholicism would still exist simply because it is not a nation state. Although the Vatican has what seems to be statehood , Catholicism pre-existed long before nationalism began. What I say to people questioning the wealth of the Vatican is, when your nation or denomination gets to be 2000+ years old come back and talk to me. 2000 years is a long time to be receiving gifts and donations. 2000 years is a long time to make more with through investment, and 2000 years of dispensing the wealth to the poor is also a long period of unmatched goodwill on the part of the Church.

I highly doubt you're Catholic assuming you are you are poorly educated on how the Church is administered and how it distributes it's time, money and personnel.

Did you go to a Catholic school? If so, were the nuns retarded? Please learn to spell, capitalize, and punctuate before posting a question in a forum that might attract educated answers.
Jesus was humble because there weren't luxury cars 2,000 years ago. The pope isn't humble because now we have plexiglass. I think Jesus should have had a Corvette!
When priests stop doing the sex with alter boys, I'll have more catholic doctrine opinion to share. Until then, catholics will go on believing sex-deprived priests enjoy having sexuality taken from them. Thank Jesus I'm not catholic! My Jesus would never guide a man to butt-hump a little boy.

The pope does not have his own state or his own army. Vatican City and the Swiss Guard do not belong to the pope any more than the White House and the Secret Service belong to President Bush. The cars are donated by automakers.

Jesus founded the Catholic church. That church has been existing in the world continuously, for the last 2000 years, and it will continue to prevail until the end of time.

God had a chosen people and a holy nation in the old testament, and he was very particular about his temple and his priests even then, sparing no expense.

Jesus never complained about the beauty and grandeur of the the Temple in Jerusalem, which he rightfully called "his father's house".

Neither did he complain about the costly vestments of the priests, or the ornate nature of the sacred vessels, as they were prescribed by God himself.

Today, Jesus Christ is truly and substantially present in every Catholic Church, the world over, and it's only appropriate that the surroundings also reflect his status as the eternal King of the Ages.

God knows what type of resources the church needs, in order for it to survive, until he comes again.

I suggest you allow God to provide for his church in his own way, and in the mean time, take full advantage of all the natural and supernatural resources that continue to be made available to you and to all of us, through his universal church.

And if you really must complain, send you complaints here:

A converted Baptist and Methodist myself..now Catholic...I do not profess to fathom all...nor accept everything. For instance, early popes had wives and children...now all priests and popes are celebate with sometimes dire consequences. We are human, but there are not enough AIDS and prison populations for pedophile priests! Or so it seems...singer/comedian ray Stevens said it in a song as to the pope and his possessions.
"Would Jesus wear a Rolex on his Television show" which is a 2-part lolapaloosa question!
We know that Jesus once received criticism for getting a footwashing with expensive items which could have been sold and money given to the poor. "Jesus said,"The poor you will have with you always...but I will not always be here." Paraphrased And Jesus believed in spreading the Gospel so He would have a TV Show some feel if He were with us again. Or somehow appear on all TV sets in all languages to announce His return?

Jesus had an army and still does...I don't think that this has anything to do with the Pope, this man has given up more and sacrifices his life for jesus, more than many of us ever will.

You have made a wonderful case proving why the Roman Catholic Church and the Pope are fake.

Jesus isn't fake.

Christianity isn't fake.
