Wow. These answers are heart-breaking. How tragic to think that a "loving God" created a place of eternal damnation for those who choose not to believe in the teachings of christianity. I can imagine such a belief would create a tremendous sense of urgency to convert non-believers. And good grief -- how can you find comfort in thinking that it's ok; I won't remember my spouse/ children / friends when I'm there?

Yes. Pray that you husband will come to know the lord. Heaven is not about marriage. Heaven is about a relationship with God. Yes we all pray our friends and relatives will be there (some of us pray for our enemy's also) but in the story of the brothers who all married the same woman as was the custom when ones brother died with out children. They asked whose wife would she be in Heaven and it was stated that they did not understand Heaven.

Obviously, I've never been to heaven, but the Bible makes it very clear that the only way to God is through Jesus. Unless your husband accepts Christ as his savior, I think it would be very difficult for him to get to heaven. Be patient with him and pray for him, he might come around.
I think when you get to heaven, you won't remember anyone who isn't there. I can't imagine God allowing us to be miserable in paradise. I think we'll be so focused on God, that everything else won't matter.

many christians say that god will take control of your mind in heaven and not allow you to have your own thoughts about past loved ones.
So, don't worry. You won't be allowed to remember him.

Look within. I think we may go through trials but nothing permanent. Could be on earth or after I suppose.

If your husband does not make it to heaven with you, then don't worry, because you have let him see by your example & he chose not to obey God.Besides,in heaven you won't even remember what sadness is!You will never have another heartache! I promise,& you won't even remember your family who didn't make it.

Luke..16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot *; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

You know, all you can do is live your happy, contented life and let him see how happy you are.
He will want what YOU have one day.
I invited my mate to church every Saturday night, I asked, "Are you going to church with me tomorrow?
He always said 'no', but he KNEW I wanted him to , at least.

Sure, you're "good deeds" can't be used on your husbands account and vice versa. You'll each be judged on your own merit.
