Someone (a Christian) recently told me that children suffer because their parents aren't devout enough in their Christianity, & that no matter who suffers or how many suffer, Yahweh will not be "moved" by it... that he's only moved by faith, & only the faithful can attain for their children the blessings of God.

Is that true? Does "all the suffering in the WORLD" really not sway Yahweh in any way? Does He ONLY respond to faith? Are his hands tied when it comes to the children of all the non-Christians in existence?

Texas Mother Kills Herself, 3 Children

HUDSON OAKS, Texas — Alejandra Estrada broke into her sister's trailer because she wanted to know why she hadn't shown up at work.

Inside, she found Gilberta Estrada and Gilberta's four young daughters hanging in a closet.

Gilberta Estrada, 25, and three of the girls were dead. The youngest, 8-month-old Evelyn Frayre, was alive but in dire need of medical care.

Alejandra Estrada pulled the infant from the noose and called 911. The child was listed in good condition at a Fort Worth hospital, Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said.

Fowler said the hangings appeared to be murder-suicide because the doors were locked from the inside and a relative said Gilberta Estrada had been depressed. He said they had last been seen alive Monday afternoon outside the trailer and things had appeared normal.

"My mind cannot get around how all this can happen," Fowler said. "It's almost unthinkable."

Filly Echeverria, who said she was the children's godmother, identified the dead children as Maria Teresa Estrada, Janet Frayre and Magaly Frayre. Authorities said they believed their ages were 5, 3 and 2.

Fowler said more information, such as how long they had been dead and whether the children were drugged or suffocated before they were hanged, would be released after autopsies Wednesday.

After hanging her daughters with pieces of clothing tied around a wooden board that served as a clothes rod, Estrada apparently looped the noose around her neck, leaned into it and buckled her knees to kill herself, Fowler said.

He said Gilberta Estrada had won a temporary restraining order in August against Gregorio Frayre Rodriguez, believed to be the father of Evelyn and some of the other youngsters, after a domestic violence incident involving Estrada.

Fowler said the couple had stopped living together in February. Tuesday was the first emergency police call to the trailer, and Fowler said there was no evidence that Frayre abused the girls.

A telephone listing for Frayre, 38, could not immediately be located.

Child Protective Services will decide who will take custody of the baby, Fowler said.

Texas has had several children killed by their mothers in recent years.

Less than five years ago, another Hudson Oaks family was torn apart when Dee Etta Perez, 39, shot her three children, ages 4, 9 and 10, before killing herself.

Andrea Yates drowned her five children in the family's Houston bathtub in 2001. In 2003, Deanna Laney beat her two young sons to death with stones in East Texas, and Lisa Ann Diaz drowned her daughters in a Plano bathtub. Dena Schlosser fatally severed her 10-month-old daughter's arms with a kitchen knife in 2004.

All four of those women were found innocent by reason of insanity. Yates initially was convicted of capital murder, but that verdict was overturned on appeal.

1. God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life.

"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" John 3:16.

Why is it that people are not experiencing the abundant life?

2. Man is SINFUL and SEPARATED from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.

Man Is Sinful
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.

3. Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life.

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8.

4. We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.

"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" John 1:12

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price."(1 Cor 6:19-20)

I'm curious toward how people would interpret the phrase "You are not your own; you were bought at a price." It comes off as a little.. hmm.. I'm not sure how to describe it, but I think if someone actually said that to my face, I might have to punch them.

Some would suggest this means they are the "special ones" which would imply those not chosen to be the "not so special ones." I disagree with this analysis.

I BELIEVE THAT GOD CHOSE THE JEWISH PEOPLE TO BE A MIRROR TO THE ENTIRE WORLD, TO ALL NATIONS, TO ALL PEOPLE. They are as a big brother or sister to us, and to have been called by God as His chosen is a huge calling. God has allowed them to endure great sufferings that we might be able to learn from their journey (ex: Pharaoh, 40 years in the desert, etc), that we might not make the same mistakes in our own personal walks with God. I praise God or this example.

God has blessed the Jewish people with great blessings that we might learn from them how to find favor with our Father.

If we study the Jewish people, their beginning, their today and their future foretold, we can see our always loving, sometimes chastising Father's hand at work just as He is working in our own lives.

I praise God for Israel and her chosen!

Just say Jamie is the perfect of an example of Christ and He shines through her. Pretty much always has
After a lot of bad fortunate situations, even though she does love her Lord and Savior, she is vulnerable and feels so hurt in this would seem at times, God forsaken life.
She looses her job because of something she didn't do and life starts on one big downhill snowball for her.
She is offered some - for all extensive purposes, heroin, and for some relief from that pain and hurt she is in, takes it.
That night, Jamie dies from a hot shot.
She still loved God, is she going to be accepted into His arms for loosing her way for a little?

1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

The problem is quite obvious.....explain how a serpent can speak.

Memorial and Labor days are always set for a 3 day weekend, so why not Independence Day? During the longest days of the year, we stay up till it gets dark to watch fireworks only to have to go to work the next day (most years).
A Friday holiday would allow for recovery from partying and staying up late for the display.
