It's more a case of hate the crap the comes with religion and faith. There is a big difference between faith & knowing. Sadly, most religious people believe that faith is knowing so some can be nasty when people have views of their own and vice versa. Of course, this character that has been named as God takes the brunt of it as Christianity has claimed God as their own. Man created the myth that shows God as a person. Man also created the myth of the bible. Over the years the biggest cult on the planet (Christianity) have turned people against God with their contradictions and having an outcome for every one that arises in the bible. And God help anyone who goes against their faith.

Don't recall ever reading a question like that before!
I hate religion, (all religions)!!
I don't hate God, I don't hate Harvey the invisible giant white rabbit.
I think we are split into 3 groups , we either dont believe in God, we are not sure, or we do believe.
No need for any of those groups to say they hate God.
Just changed my mind about that, the only group that could say they hate God must be the believers, no other group could say it!

"Its probably the wrong god. Try reading the Bible if you want to know about a REAL God"

Funny how the "real god" has only existed for 2000 years. Gods only exist through belief, and prior to jesus (who would be considered a lunitic and locked away in today's world), no one believed you the christian version of god, therefore, it did not exist.

As much as EVERYONE here is going to disagree and not like to hear it, gods only exist and only have power because mortals believe in them.

Oh, and by the way, in reality, it doesn't matter WHAT you believe, as long as you believe.

I only hate the fact that people think that their God is the real god and all the others are 'fake'

I think many people confuse "hate" with "anger". When you are really angry at someone, it can feel as if you hate them. I think many people are very angry with God (whatever they perceive him to be) over wars, injustice, hunger, disease and so on, as well as for personal pain such as loss of a loved one, familial abuse, abandonment etc.

This feeling is why I cannot believe in God as presented in many religions, omnipotent, omnipresent, and all-loving. Therefore I am mostly a Taoist/Buddhist at this time, though spirituality is (for me) a process and not a set of fixed beliefs.

The power of nature actually created everything on this planet, and if you wish to call this "God", then YES we hate it because we destroy it everyday without a second thought.

I also agree with Word Warrior.

probably because he's been blamed for all the bad things that happen in our lives and in the past like religious wars, at someone's death you can hear "God took her away from me to be with Him", look what some Christians do, and just because they're not perfect we blame God for what they do.

Just a few things.

If you hate something that's imaginary then you really have issues. I would rate those issues as being one step lower than believing in something imaginary like god.

Because of LOVE
Yes we love him so much that we start hating him
We think of Him so much, that He can give this and that, that is why we hate him so much.
Love Him without anticipating anything, dont ask Him anything, then U'll get everything.
Do you know Sudama
Do You know Jesus
