Christians who think they are "perfect" have just proven that they are not. I am a Christian man, and I know I am not perfect.
The only one who was perfect was "Jesus" Himself.

Those Christians who think they are perfect, are just fooling themselves. Its a bad sign, because there is something called pride which is one of the 7 deadly sins. Pride in a Christian, actually makes no sense, because we as Christians are supposed to be humble before the Almighty.

Pride is the cause of Satan's downfall. Remember, he was the most beautiful of angels in heaven, but his pride led him to want to be God. This is why he was cast out of heaven into the bowels of the earth.

Prideful Christians are Christians, but they have unrepentent sin in thier lives.
But dont judge all Christians by those who are like this.

You are correct and we should not judge each other. The book of Romans will tell you that you are guilty of the same that you judge others on, so you should not do it. There are different stages of Christianity. When you get saved it is just the beginning of a continual walk. And, hopefully as time passes you gain strength and wisdom in the best way to live, still never will be perfect, but hopefully each day getting better at it.

I have developed a distaste for the words "true Christian", simply because you do not agree with ones behavior does not give you the right to say whether or not they are indeed a Christian. They may be a Christian and just not matured as much in their walk. . .we should encourage and uplift each other on our journeys.

I am a Christian and I am fully aware that I am FAR from perfect in the flesh; but I also know God sees me as perfect "in Christ", because His word tells me so. Romans 8:1

I think the problem lies with Christians who are more into "religion" than a relationship with God. That creates a self-righteous attitude (think of the Pharisees that Jesus confronted) and ends up pushing others away from God. Of course, there are also truths in the bible that are hard to face. People don't want to hear those parts and anybody who tries to share scriptures about God's judgment is seen as being judgmental themselves.

I know everyone isn't perfect, me inckuded. I guess the reason some christian get trashed so often is that they don't do as they preach. When someone treats other terribly and then complains when non-christians call the on it, they are not acting like what they say a christian is.

I have no problem with most christians, but there are some here and in real life that drrive me nuts. They are rude and nasty. So when I say something about someone not acting right I do try to say that I'm not speaking of all.

The Christian is no better than a non-Christian, but he is infinitely better off. It is like two men on a plane, one of whom is wearing a parachute while the other is not. Neither is better than the other, but the man with the parachute is certainly better off than the man who is not wearing a parachute. The difference will be seen when they jump from the plane at 20,000 feet.

Jesus warned that if we "jump" into death without Him, we would perish. Even harsher than the law of gravity is the Law of an infinitely holy and just Creator. Scripture states that sinners are God’s enemy (Romans 5:10) and that "it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:31).

Sin is by the law. We are not under the law. therefore we are perfect. that is the gospel; Don't deny it to sound humble.

I don't think that Christians think they are perfect, just that their book is........which it isn't.

Edit: And as for the parachute analogy, the Christian is really jumping with an anvil in the bag, he just thinks it's a parachute because he was raised to believe so.

Your bold text question scared me.
If you think we're perfect, then you're not a Christian.

Glad your CAPS cleared up the confusion.
(WHEW! Another bullet dodged!)
