No, you really don't, but they do give a nice feeling of community when you can meet and pray with others who share your beliefs. I really don't think religious buildings can be blamed for the ills of the world. PEOPLE do those things and will continue to do so whether they meet in a building or not.

God is everywhere, but his spirit is felt more prevalently in places of worship. So, for me, yes.

Without Churches, I would find it difficult to get a weekly (or more) influx of God' love in my life. I also don't know where I can take the sacrament outside of churches, although if churches were gone, I am sure there would be a way.

Temples have always been a part of worshipping God, having them is a commandment, so to keep the commandments fully they must exist.

No, I certainly do not. Nor do I need a grove in the redwoods and a circle where I can dance naked in the moonlight. I figure I can be spiritual in whatever way works for me almost anywhere I am. It may seem a little disrespectful to do a ritual while sitting on the toilet, but other than that, practically anywhere. I know witches who do on-line rituals, and say they work just fine.

All faith lies within the individual - there are points in life, however, that people of the same faith need a meeting place, a sanctuary where they can freely talk without fear of persecution, which is what these buildings bring, they represent a focal point within the spiritual community that they serve.

We can pray to God anywhere. God is everywhere and will always hear our prayers. These buildings are just a place for people of the same faith to all come together to worship God.

To have a bigger space to worship together as a community. Homes are too small now a days unless you own a mansion. It's nice to have somewhere to meet though.

I think that private prayer at home is probably better, because it is your alone time with God.
But places of worships are quite important, because it builds a community, and it keeps you motivated with praying (because everyone else is praying in your surrounding so you are less likely to get distracted.)...
