He is exactly what the Bible says he is. "There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5.
The logic of that thought notwithstanding, the inspired word states him to be clearly and unequivocally man and not God. Let not anyone think that we belittle Christ by saying that he is man and not God. It may be that he is a man so far above the men we know today that to human senses he would even appear to be like God. Nevertheless we must remember that human senses are not the criteria, but the Word of God. That Word states God to be One, and we have not the right to associate or confuse anyone, even one so great as our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, with God Almighty. To do so is to fall into polytheism and vastly to belittle and lower the concept of God.
What does the Bible mean then, when it says that Jesus is the son of God, or God for the matter by some?
The word "son" is clearly used in the Bible to express the character of people, and not always their biological descent. Considering that Jesus says that he came to do nothing but his Father's will, the last definition of father is probably the most appropriate as applied to his relationship with God. Jesus is the Son of God because he perfectly carries out the will of God.

He is the Son of the Almighty Jehovah God. When Jehovah said let us make man in our own image (Gen. 1:26), he was referring to Jesus Christ, the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God.— Isaiah 9:6, 7.
At the very outset of Jesus' ministry, when he came up out of the baptismal water, God's voice from heaven said: "This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved." (Matthew 3:16, 17) Jesus, in his prehuman existence, was "the first-born of all creation." (Colossians 1:15, NJB) He was "the beginning of God's creation." (Revelation 3:14, RS, Catholic edition).
So Jesus, the only-begotten Son, had a beginning to his life. And Almighty God can rightly be called his Begetter, or Father, in the same sense that an earthly father, like Abraham, begets a son. (Hebrews 11:17)
Hence, when the Bible speaks of God as the "Father" of Jesus, it means what it says—that they are two separate individuals. God is the senior. Jesus is the junior—in time, position, power, and knowledge.

An wonderful human being that taught of God's love, compassion and forgiveness. He was a wonderful teacher and orator. Many call him a prophet. But make no mistake , God is God. Jesus Christ is Jesus Christ. Jesus is one of God's children, as all of us are.

I take it you're not Christian?
Regardless of your particular beliefs in Jesus' godliness the man himself was an actual human being who lived around the turn of the 1st millennia.
He was a teacher and orator. Say what you want, he influenced many people and his legacy has changed the world. You can still learn from his teachings whether you believe his is the Son of God or not. Faith, tolerance, compassion, dedication, forgiveness and love are all teachings of Jesus the man and have nothing to do with his godliness. Many people today teach the same ideas and they certainly aren't God nor do they claim to be.

Jesus is not dead and a myth like some have said without truly knowing.
The Bible says to taste and see that God is good.
Jesus Christ proved that He is God. He is interceding for His true believers right now. We will see Him face to face.

he is the highest expression of the self realization of the God within, yet he is not the only one to have done this
he came to teach us that we are all God's children, capable of the same unconditional love and self mastery, capable of living in the present moment and bringing Christ consciousness through us
he is the son of God- but so are we, we just don't know it on the same level

He was a man who was executed by the Romans for being politically inconvienent and got a lot of myths tagged on to his story over the forty or so years after his death before the tale was written down.
We are unlikely to ever know the true story.

There might have been someone named Jesus a long time ago, though not much is known about him. If he existed, he's just a dead guy. And there's little reason to think that the junk written about him decades after his death has the remotest bit of truth to it.
Note that Paul's writings, which though still decades after Jesus' death, had hardly anything about Jesus' life and nothing about his childhood. It was only decades after that when people suddenly remembered those details and wrote the Gospels. Sorry, but I don't buy it.
