No, it is not possible to go back to being straight because they weren't straight to begin with.

Anyone who thinks they can are merely bisexual and have decided to concentrate on the opposite sex.

Only if they weren't actually gay in the first place. If they switch sides chances are they were confused or curious or are perhaps they are closeted bisexuals. If you mean is it possible for a gay person to be "cured" and turned back into a straight, no it's not. Those programs are a load of bull. Usually they just scare a person so badly and knock down their self confidence so bad the person is to afraid to be themselves. A person's sexual identity may or may not be decided as early as the sperm and the egg but it is definitely decided at a young age whether they are aware of it or not. A person can not be made straight unless they have always been so.

i think if you are gay you are gay. as far as trying to control ourselves we can do that. people lie to themselves all the time. if you tell a friend his girl is foolin around on him and does not want to believe he won't. sex is scary! who wants to be different. i was watchin mtv and i saw the one gay guy on their crying saying that he wishes that he could be straight and have everything that straight people have. i could barely watch it. if one is faced with no family and losing ones friends who would not convince themselves. did not gay people in the past marry and have kids? everybody just wants to be loved so if straight is the only way one thinks one can be loved who knows. i kind of think that it is perhaps more natural for people to be bi-sexual anyway. when we are young hook up with who we are attracted to male or female. but to have children i guess we need the other sex. i know people would disagree with me anyway. i still don't know how i feel about anything anyway.

I think it is in some cases, but not in most cases. Teenagers for example may find their sexual orientation alters and takes form as they grow up, and people who have had traumatic events can sometimes alter their sexual orientation, like say if a woman divorced a man as he beat her, then she may find it better to go for a woman, then later go back to men. Just another part of life.

Of course not. A gay person was NEVER straight to begin with. Gay people are born as they are, they don't decide which "side" to be on.

The only way that could work, would be if they were bi-sexual.

What the heck kind of ignorance is in these answers? Are you all straight who answered this? I'm gay and I can tell you I do not have desires to sleep with woman nor the urge to "pretend" to be straight!

Nope, for they were never straight to begin with. You can't go back to being straight if you weren't straight in the 1st place.

Only for bisexuals - whether they admit it or not.

It's not possible for a gay person to "go straight" anymore than it is for a straight person to "go gay".

No, not unless they are bi or were never really gay in the first place.

sure, what else could be more easier? such as a girl going ba
