The 144,000 are to rule with Jesus in heaven as kings and priest over the earth. Rev. 7: 4 & Rev. 14: 1, Rev. 20: 6, Rev. 5: 10

The rest will be those that Ps 37: 10, 11 & 29 show will possess the earth and live forever upon it. Along with all those who will be resurrected. John 5: 28 & 29 & Acts 24:15

A literal estimate of the number of people who have ever lived on earth is 20 billion. Not all those will be resurrected. But, even if we assume that they would be, there would be ample room. The land surface of the earth at present is about 57 million square miles. If half of that were set aside for other purposes, there would still be just a little less than an acre per person, which can provide more than enough food.

God knows what he is doing. It will work out beautifully!

The 144,000 would not be Gods,,,that would be polytheism.

Revelation 14:3 And they are singing as if a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to master that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought from the earth.

The 144,00 are to corule with Jesus as kings and priests. Who are they to rule upon (subjects)?

Compare this: Revaltion 7:9 After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.

The 144,000 was given a specific number while the great crowd wasnt. Who are those in the great crowd?

"Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5)

" But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. " (Psalm 37:11)

The great corwd are those who will live on a Paradise earth being subjects to Christ and the 144,000. As to how many, no one really knows...

As to those who will stay in hell/grave, no one knows too...

That is a gross misinterpretation...

1. 144K is explicitly described as JEWS.

2. The Apocalypse was about the future in ~95 A.D., NOT our future. The descriptions figuratively describe the actions of Jesus rescuing the Christians from their persecution. (Revelation begins and ends [1:1 & 22:6] with statements that the events it describes were to happen QUICKLY.

The same Greek phrase is used in Acts 12:7 "Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared. A light shone in the prison cell. The angel struck Peter on his side. Peter woke up. “QUICK!” the angel said. “Get up!” The chains fell off Peter’s wrists." where it is translated, "QUICK!" The phrase is never seen to represent periods of time longer than a few years. Consider the repeated references in the book to 3-1/2 years -- also stated as months and days. THIS may be the time frame in which the first century Christians considered that the prophecy HAD BEEN FULFILLED.

Do you think the angel meant for Peter to wait around a few years?

3. Many prophecies in scripture are seen to have been fulfilled in multiple times / places / situations.

4. CLEAR LANGUAGE scriptures, like 2Peter 3:10f (But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar. Fire will destroy everything in them. God will judge the earth and everything in it.
11 So everything will be destroyed. And what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives. 12 Live like that as you look forward to the day of God. It will make the day come more quickly. On that day fire will destroy the heavens. Its heat will melt everything in them.
13 But we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth. Godliness will make its home there. All of this is in keeping with God’s promise.) teach us that EVERYTHING will be DESTROYED at Jesus' return. The earth itself WILL NO LONGER EXIST. This verse makes it seem likely that TIME AND MATTER WILL BE DESTROYED, leaving ONLY the "spiritual realm." That is, the "new earth" will be a spiritual "place" rather than a physical one.

Mistranslation. It saw 144,000 people will go to heaven and dwell at the feet of God as Saints and Martyrs. No one else will go to heaven. Everyone else is confined to New Jersulam which is a kingdom created on earth.

It also states in Doctrine that everyone will get to hear the "Good News" even if they died before Christ's coming. The end of time is one more chance for everyone to get into New Jersulam - then, after a thousand years, One third of the population will be tempted and turn against God - be cast out and peace will reign forever.

If you believe that sort of thing.

the 144 thousand are those who are chosen for a purpose at the end of the world, it doesnt mean they are the only ones who will live for eternity in the new Jerusalem.

They are the ones who are on earth during the time of judgment. I assume as a final example of Faith to persuade any who might choose God and not parish before the final judgment.

Right after them the great multitude is spoken of. They were the ones, like us, who lived and died by faith and await eternity in the new Jerusalem. The great multitude that cannot be numbered. Theyre not the same people as the 144 thousand. He wouldnt number a bunch of people in one sentance, and then say it couldnt be counted in the next.

As for the total number of people.. I dont know that you can really decide that ammount. I am sure they can ball park it. Try google...

your own bible says they go to heaven....they are called the little flock with the heavenly hope...then there is the other sheep with the earthly hope.
They all receive their reward.
We were made to live on the earth...only a select few serve in the heavenly government when the earth is turned back into a theocracy
They are not all God but help God's son rule for 1000 years. When all the people who have ever lived will be resurrected back to life and all those alive now..that still will not overpopulate the earth...Remember not all those that have died will come back if they were killed in a judgement period...and all those living now will not make it through to paradise....and of those that do make it may fall short and be put back to sleep forever.

There will be babies born to complete the filling of the earth.
We will all be back to perfect bodies and minds.

Looking at those odds it is kind of a waste of time to believe in Christianity.

You know there are some Christians the believe these 144,000 will be taken in space ships. That is why there is limited seating. I am just wondering how would a person get a ticket to take this ride?

Yea! I often ask this question to the door knockers of religion who come around to preach the gospel.

I would definitely find another planet as there would be standing room only if they all came back from the dead.

Those who go to Hell then they have been melted into larva and spew out every time there is a volcano eruption I guess.

JNSR: Sweet Jesus, may your Holy Name reign on Earth as it does in Heaven!

JESUS: The Holy Church must make God known through Christ. Among Christian, catholic or protestant, charismatic or fundamentalist; who, do you think, holds the whole Truth of God? Only God!

Read St Luke again, JESUS at Nazareth (Lk 4, 27-28):

27 In the prophet Elisha’s time there were many lepers in Israel, but none of these was cured except the Syrian, Naaman. (a heathen)

When they heard this everyone in the synagogue was enraged.

When you judge one of your brothers, you are judging Me.

If, today I am sending you to the pagans, It is I you are going to meet first: I am awaiting you, you must talk to them in My Name.

The Holy Spirit is looking for men of good will, men who will be makers of the Renewal that God has already created in His Spirit. In order to achieve that, the place must be neutral, with no prejudice. This Renewal needs to take several paths that will all end up into the Spirit who is Light. Today I am looking for the pagans; My Love wants to prove that I can fill in all the spiritual voids, that I am in this soul as much as I am in another one who declares herself “ a friend of God” and with My word I am going to give Life again to the one who was already buried in his tomb; Just as I did for Lazarus.

This pagan is at last going to know the Life, the True Life. He is going to meet his saviour because I am going to give him lucidity. He is going to fill in his spirit with the only Name that saves every being on this Earth; this Name that saves every man, little and big, coming from every religion, from every race. This Name, Jesus Christ, has been given by the Angel of the Lord at the Annunciation.

Who has been looking for you first, is it you or Me? Therefore I will go first towards the pagans because I want to save them all.

God is Love
