why are the welsh not very well known throught the world unlike the scots,
you always hear about scots history, scots in films , scots inventions , scots warriors etc but never welsh.I have scots and welsh heritage but I am more proud of my scots heritage as it seems the scots have had much more of an impact on the world unlike the welsh.Does anyone have similer feelings or am i wrong?

Are there any organized Christianity-based religions that those of us who are more liberal minded can feel comfortable attending? I'm avidly pro-choice and pro-gay rights, so needless to say, I've had a hard time sticking with the Lutheran churches I've grown up in.

I am a butch lesbian and will be attending university quite a long way from home this fall. Once there, I fully intend to present as masculine as possible because, quite frankly, I feel awkward looking feminine. I daren't do this in my hometown though, because my family and friends/schoolmates are deeply religious and would frown upon this severely.

The problem is this: one of my good friends from high school will be transferring to that university in two years. I would like to maintain my friendship with him, but I'm terribly worried that he will rat out my change to people... not that he's not a good friend, but I don't really want the word getting back to my stuffy, religious high school.

What should I do?

Oh, and also, if I present as male, what dormitory do I end up in, male or female?

I've wanted to learn Italian for the longest time, and this year I'm going to do it. I just have NO idea where to start. I really don't want to purchase any computer programs or things like that, because I know I could learn it for free on the internet somewhere. Anyone know of any websites that have some sort of online course or teaching program? Thanks so much...and Happy New Year :)

No matter how unlikely something is a creator will always be more complex and so more unlikely. The argument from design simply doesn't work as an infinite god is far less probable than an infinite universe which you have said is already so complex it can‘t exist.

If god is "unchangeable" as the bible says, then why does each individual have a different view as to what he is, what he does, what he feels, what he can and can't do, etc.? Shouldn't everyone have the same view of god? You always say "god wants us to ", but the part is different for every single person who believes. If god existed, wouldn't he be really clear on what was?

Doesn't it just come down to where you were born and how you were raised that ultimately determines your beliefs. i live in the bible belt, in SC. maybe this isnt the view everywhere. but it just bothers me that people dont look outside the box and think that other religions could be right, as well as their own. if the bible thumper that lives next door were actually born in saudi arabia, that person would be just as steadfast about islam as he is now to christianity. but instead, he was born in the bible belt, so he stands true to christianity and everything else is wrong. why would God only show himself to a very small portin of the worlds population and leave everybody to burn in hell? is it not possible in all his glory and power to show himself through other religions too?

Muslims say they believe Jesus was a prophet only and not the Son of God and the Messiah. When Jesus returns, this will prove He was and is the Messiah because the Bible teaches that the Messiah will appear, die to save us from our sins and reappear when God appoints that time to come. The Muslims I have spoken to say they believe Jesus will come again, and that when He does, they are to follow Him. If they are supposed to follow Him then, then why not just follow Him now. And if they are to follow Him, why are they trying to kill Christians or convert them?
