If god is "unchangeable" as the bible says, then why does each individual have a different view as to what he is, what he does, what he feels, what he can and can't do, etc.? Shouldn't everyone have the same view of god? You always say "god wants us to ", but the part is different for every single person who believes. If god existed, wouldn't he be really clear on what was?

Amen. If God exists, I don't think he would be sanctioning all these different religions which teach conflicting doctrines. That would in essence mean God is fine with confusing us and would lead one to think he really doesn't love us. If God exists, then I would say there must be one religion that is correct. The tough part is finding that one (although I'm guessing every member of an organized religion will say theirs is the correct one).

The Church has no "individual" versions of God. The Creeds set the standard: Apostle's, Nicene and Athanasian. The Church is a Body, of which Jesus Christ is the Head - and all Baptized persons are the members. That Body met in Council - these things were decided by that Body based on Scripture, Holy Tradition and Reason...all gifts from that Same One God.

Yes, that is because the relationship with God is different for different people. You don't love your mom the way your dad does, do you? And you don't love your brother the way his buddy does and so on. Everybody is unique and special in God's eyes, and everyone has a purpose. It is different for everyone. That said, I don't agree with altering the word of God to suit ones agenda. That is wrong, but alas, I cannot say one way or the other how God feels about it. I can only imagine but I cannot judge. God bless.

It is clear Who God is. There are many people who do not realize that by adding to God's Word changing the Word they are creating their own god.....not the God of Abraham, God the Creator but their own god who suits their own needs. It has purely aesthetic value to them, they want to feel warm and fuzzy despite the truth.

That is because people create an image of God...a concept. Images and concepts differ - so in a sense most make up their own version of God.

God is beyond concept.
