Like prejudice and bigotry, it is hard to tell how wide spread it is in any country.

Homosexuality exists in every country of the world, but in Islam it is a sin and illegal in Muslim nations. People who are homosexuals there are more inclined to either suppress their urges or hide them very carefully. You will never find open gay conduct like you will in the US, so it really is difficult to determine exactly how prevalent it really is. I live in a Muslim country and I have never seen as much as a HINT of homosexual behavior.

more prevalent than what? more prevalent than in non-Muslim countries? more prevalent than they admit?
It is sure to be more prevalent than is admitted to, but I have no figures to back that up.
Just as I think that (and I have seen articles about this) in the US, people who have had homosexual experiences are a greater number than you might otherwise imagine, and it is much more than the "homosexual" population.

While the Qur'an clearly states that homosexuality is unjust, unnatural, transgression, ignorant, criminal and corrupt", declares the Jamaat-e-Islami, an extreme right politico-religious party in Pakistan. In fact, the Qur'an is far from clear on the issue and the controversy regarding the position of Islam and homosexuality is ongoing. For some people, homosexuality is "unlawful" in Islam; for others, the Qur'an does not clearly condemn homosexual acts. The only actual reference to homosexuality in the Qur'an can be found in the sections about Sodom and Gomorrah. While the harsh punishment inflicted on the people of Sodom and Gomorrah at the time of the prophet Lut is for some people a clear proof that Allah meant to eradicate homosexual practice, others argue that there is no specific punishment for homosexuality. The people of Sodom were punished for "doing everything excessively" and for not respecting the rules of hospitality. They insist that it is not the Qur'an itself that brings condemnation of homosexuals but rather the homophobic culture prevailing in Muslim societies.
And yes. While many Muslim countries outlaw homosex, homosexuality is very prevelent in Saudia Arabia and many leading Islamic countries.

Well.....I will say this and only this.
Homosexuality is more undercover in Muslim countries. Seeing to the fact they homos would be killed if they professed their sexual orientation, homos tend to keep it on the down low that out in the open.
But to the fact that there are more homos in Muslim countries and that it is more prevalent in Muslim countries...i do not know

I would imagine since Allah makes them wait til heaven for a woman. Don't tell them I said that tho. I personally think if they weren't so uptight about sex they wouldn't have so much testerone to put into bullying other people. don't tell them I said that either.
