ok i have to say now, because this question is like a daily occurence.

Myths deal more with creatures not with gods - such that - Harpies, Cyclops, Dragons, Medusa, Yeti, Bigfoot, Chupacabra, Loch Ness Monster. those are myths. they are not to be mixed with religions

Religions deal more with gods, the afterlife, philosophy of life, morality.

that being said, greek "mythology" includes zues and hades and those characters, because they are more involved with mythological creatures. u can find stories of centaurs and minotaurs and other mythological creatures weaved through. otherwise if u take jsut the gods and not the stories they would be more considered religion then a myth.

u guys agree, or what do you think?

In the beginning god made the earth and rested, then god made man and rested, then god made woman and since then neither man nor god has rested.

First, I have a few black friends-- they're pretty preppy.

My city is in the bay area and is about 35-40% latino, 25-30% black, 20% asian. I've noticed that black men try to intimidate me a lot more than anyone else. I'm a pretty confident person and when I hold eyes with someone they typically look away first... and quickly at that. But many black men always look at me like they want to hurt me. I didn't do anything to them! It really bugs me that they try to intimidate people as if they are better than them and that they act as if they have no rules or respect for others. Even if I smile, I get the mug from them! What's up? When I raise kids, I'm thinking about moving to suburbia to get away from all of the ghettoness and poverty and unhappiness of this area!

I lived in a most upper-class white city in Washington state for 2 years, maybe 85% white, 8% asian, and in this city. I also served in the us army (very diverse) for 4 years and i've been around. Oh, I'm asian btw.

Is it hard to see everyone around you in the Christmas spirit...shopping for gifts, decorating their homes, planning Christmas parties and trips, etc?
Do you spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day just like any ordinary day?

All throughout this December I've been wishing a Merry Christmas to people who obviously celebrate the holiday (wearing yuletide sweaters, decorations littering their homes, etc.), but I barely ever get an aknowledgement, let alone a reprisal Merry Christmas.

Is it wrong to wish people a Merry Christmas now?

A. The gods grant favors to societies that obey their laws, but punish societies that disobey them.

B. A ruler is good to the extent that his subjects are living fulfilling and successful lives.

C, A ruler has the approval of heaven (T’ien) only if the people are satisfied.

I have saved every installation disc for every motherboard and DVD/CD ROM drive I have install over the years. I have spent many a sleepless night accumalating the knowledge I know. true, I am not the most intelligent person around, but what is so hard saying " THANK YOU? " I mean just because I will be 50 next year, ( YAHOO MODERATERS) I freely elect to give out my personal info, since by doing so releases you from any liablity, ( I know my rights ) Once a person helps you with a problem, what is so hard about saying those two words?

Still don't have anything for them and very panicked. they've been so very good and excited for christmas. If anyone knows what we can do. we're trying to figure out how to get the couple things they asked for.

I would love to hear your views, Heres mine. Invite a bunch of your closest friends, get some ice cream, B**ch about mutual friends then their mutual friends then their relatives then their own relatives then good friends then finally B**ch about each other, get into an arguement then go home.

There is a story I read in Sahih Bukhary (the most authentic source for prophetic statements) that when prophet Muhammed conquered Mekka, his companion told him that one of his enemies (who used to oppose him) was so frightened that he looked for refuge inside the Ka'aba (the most holy place for Muslims). However, prophet Muhammed insisted to order his companions to KILL the man.

Reading that story raised many questions in my mind:

(1) Does that story stand with we have always heard about prophet Muhammed's mercy and forgivness?

(2) Was prophet Muhammed fair to KILL a man for just OPPOSING him?

(3) Why did not prophet Muhammed respect the Ka'aba?

I know it is an old testament law so please don't quote the old testament. I know all the scriptures. The bible says that we are not supposed to lay the old covenant onto the new and visa versa. I do tithe only because I love my church and I know they need a regular income coming in just like we do to pay their bills. But I was not saved in a church. I have walked for 30 years letting the Lord guide me what He wants me to do and who He wants me to help and who He wants me to give to. We have a personal relationship with Him. I am comfortable with that and it works for me. But then there's this law thrown in there. It doesn't feel right. Am I the only one that feels this or do other Christians sense that it doesn't fit in with the rest of what Jesus and the disciples taught, too?

Now that the N word is gonna get banned do you think that we should start putting them up everywhere to monitor who actually uses it? Do we also ban all of the other "offensive" words, like HONKY, WOP, CHINK, ****, FAG...and all the other curses?

Be well........

Are all Christians required to check clothing labels before purchasing apparel, to make sure they don't wear anything made from two different kinds of fibers? Are Christian women supposed to stay home from church once a month when "Aunt Flo" is visiting? If you catch your Christian daughter messing around with a young man while she is still living under your roof, do you have to stone her to death right then, or can you wait till morning?
Which part of the Bible tells you which Laws God wants to to follow for real, and which Laws you can choose to ignore because they don't suit your lifestyle?

There were pictures taken and they were available online for a short time. To say that the e-mail was forwarded a lot would be the understatement of understatements. All of a sudden, the pics disappeared never to be seen again. I have found websites talking about it but no pics. These pictures, to me, are a MUST see (I have yet to see them, believe it or not). Links to websites and/or the pics themselves would be most appreciated. Thanks!

can we prove all of the above scientifically

The problem of the atheist, is that they want to prove averything with an experiment or a scientific reseach!! There are things we cannot prove with science.

Science is a big part of the Creation but is not "all"

example- All humans cry, Right?

now - this theory has 2 parts

1. We cry because of a internal emotion produce by a feeling

2. The biological part of this is that we cry cuz our body produces tears ( some kind of water and something else) Right?

so we cannot explain the entire creation ( humans, animal etc.) with Science only, of course is a big part but like i said Science is not the "all" of everything..

All i can say is that God is Real.
