Now that the N word is gonna get banned do you think that we should start putting them up everywhere to monitor who actually uses it? Do we also ban all of the other "offensive" words, like HONKY, WOP, CHINK, ****, FAG...and all the other curses?

Be well........

A ban of offensive words would only cause a riot. People would curse more often than usual just to go against it. The thing is people don't just not do something because it's against the law, it's because they don't want to do it. If people want to curse it doesn't matter what the law states.

Yes, I remember the machines.

But who is going to "ban" objectionable words? Who is going to enforce it?

Answer: no one. Freedom of speech, baby!

On the other hand, maybe you're talking about a ban within some venue, such as your junior high school.

We had a quarter jar in my unit in the Army. Whenever you swore you had to put a quarter in the jar. When I came home from deployment my commander handed me $56.00 that he had saved for me with all my cussing and deposits in the jar. Guess what...I wasn't cussing much anymore.

Maybe not a bad idea LOL.

Seriously I don't want this- Freedom of speech is too important for us to go around saying what you can and can't say.
