I send cards to lots of people ... all of them are friends or family in some fashion. Some are friends from when I was a child, some are friends from when I was in school, some are friends from places I worked, some are friends from places I play, some are friends from places I have worshipped. Family members range from my immediate family to cousins (I think 6th cousin is as far as I have addresses, but it could be further), some are extended family. But everyone is a friend or family member. Strangers are just friends I haven't met yet.

I do not celebrate Christmas. So, I send Happy New Year cards out to people (friends and distant relatives) who do not live close to me.

I send cards to the vets office, The girls that I do my banking with,Trash pickup guys,My local grocery store...Just another way of showing my appreciation for all of the hard work they do for the public.

i donate to the toys for tots and our church does an angle tree every year, so i buy presents for a couple of needy kids. other than that, friends and family are the only ones i buy presents and cards for.

I GAVE MONEY IN MEMORY OF MY NEPHEW WHO DIED AT THE AGE OF TWO. I SENT IT TO ST. JUDE'S HOSPITAL AND I ALSO DONATED MONEY TO THE MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION. CHILDREN WHO ARE DYING GET TO HAVE A LAST WISH AND GO TO DISNEY OR WHERE EVER THEY WANT TO GO.
