When people ask me my age and I tell them 17, they often say, "Wow, I thought you were older than that." How do I respond to this? I can't really say thank you because they might not mean it as a compliment, so what do I say?

Why is it that everytime something good happens in the world, it is refered to as a "miracle" (AKA direct involvment of God/God's will).

However, when a human does terrible things it is just "Free Will"
(AKA God had nothing to do with it?)

Am I getting this wrong, or is it that God ONLY influences good actions?
If he can be seen as the reason for good actions, is he not responsible for the bad ones as well?

Or do you make fun of them and expect them to believe the same as you? If so, why? Do you not expect that same respect for your beliefs from others?

To stop war, hunger, poverty, bigotry, and any other worldly problems you can think of that affect you personally. Whether it be God that asked or just because of how you feel about the world today.

I would think that I would, but when really being faced with such a reponsiblity, could I. My belief in the Lord says I would, but I'd be a liar if I said I wouldn't be afriad.

I'm afraid of horses, guns, heights, and even the dark at times. I have no clue why and was just wondering what are YOUR fears? Don't be shy, please.

In the last times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. Do you think this applies today?

This should be like opening the floodgates to the witty, the thoughtful and the nice people on here, but I have a feeling 'the others' will make their 2 points with the abuse we have all come to know and love..... see ya!

I strongly dislike this man, but since he is crashing our Christmas, I would look rude not getting him something, and I don't want to hurt my mom's feelings. Something subtley insulting would be awesome.

When I was confused in what religion to follow, i told God to guide me to true religion, to show me the true religion, I told God to help me...and then on this Friday, I went to the mosque for friday prayer...The imam was reciting Quranic versus, he was praying to God..I was listening to him with my heart, and i think i felt love for Islam, it was a kind of heavy feeling inside my heart, I felt different. Dosen't it means that God is guiding me to the true religion...Islam? IF u guyz say ISlam is not a true religion than how much time do i have to wait for this true religion...till death..I don't want to die as unbeliever and go to hell.

I see so many people buy all these gifts with Christmas in mind and stuff like that - how come advertisers don't promote Hanukkah (sp?) or Ramadan or Kwanzaa or even Yuletide? I celebrate Christmas, but not until January 7 (and people don't extend Christmas for those who believe in the Julian calendar, do they?). Do some people value their holidays with more respect than commercialism? What gives?

I am doing a project on the different cliques in high school. My job is to specifically look at the popular crowd. What are some 'rules' that one needs to abide by if they want to be a part of this crowd? (Example: One should wear form-fitting fashionable clothing). PLEASE! ANSWERS FROM ACTUAL 'MEMBERS' per se OF AN IN-CROWD ARE IDEAL. (But just regular opinions are as always extremely welcome too...it's just first-hand is great information)...i will be choosing a best answer for this question soon :-)

I dont like to eat with public forks. At my college the cafeteria uses metal forks that everyone eats with, I really dont like the idea of eating with a fork that every student has used, even though they wash them sometimes I have seen old crap stuck on them. My dad says I am being stupid, but I dont know. I just dont see why they dont have disposable eating utensils. They wash them but I am sure they dont do a real good job of it, because there are so many.
Would it be nasty to use those forks, or am I just an idiot??
