I know this really doesn't matter. I guess I'm just easily annoyed.

Because you are being given an opportunity to gather additional information and opinions on your question...and it's a part of the rules.

So yes... you are being impatient and easily annoyed. Chill-out. You may get a chance to learn something new or your question may spark a spirited response worth discussing further.

....and think of the fun you'll miss by not waiting. By choosing best answer to quickly, you may not be giving enough people time to slander and ridicule you for your ideas. So, just sit back and enjoy the show for a while.

Isn't life a great hoot, sometimes?

Yahoo just wants to give everyone a chance to answer the question and they want to make sure you have more than one opinion. I feel the same way though, sometimes I get the best answer within minutes.

I agree if it really is a non urgent question yet, like in my case, I had a topic and needed to allure to close what to finish that became impatient for an answer, which I gained rather speedy which solved the concern.

Let me end the misery already!!!

Maybe 2 hours would be more appropriate. Or allow the user to decide.

Yahoo wants to give more people time to answer. On R&S, it all goes so fast, that's mostly pointless, but not on other topics.
